Maybe he should focus on game planning and learning match lines and putting players in positions to have success not gift his pets offensive zone starts.
You have no idea who tuned him out and when. And he’s coached more places than LA. I guess there is all the success his teams have after he leaves that you can point to, right?

It’s funny the lack of humility some folks on here have.

Good god
Did you read that before you posted it?
You are actually saying they tuned him out AFTER winning cups. Bring the cups on I say
Then you proceed to give coaching advice…….
You are either Scottie Bowman or a clueless mess

Is anyone else beginning to think that Yikes, Blownlevis and Pauline’s Walnuts are the same people?

Lucic is seeing some of his lowest ice time totals in his career.

They just waived a NHL vet and sent him to the AHL to rebuild the fourth line.

What are you honestly talking about?

So why isn't he being scratched? What's the point of having him on the ice?

The 4th line had 1 change it didn't do much.

You people act like Sutter is a father to these guys. Oh no better watch out what you do around him he might get mad.

What exactly is he doing to rectify the issue just benching guys and not even playing one of call ups because of his obsession with size.

Have you thought even for a moment that it might take a bit more time to work a call-up into the top six than it does to work one into the fourth line? The Flames were not going to tinker with the top six after three straight wins, and the swap in the bottom line had minimal impact on the team’s structure.

However, if the team wants to convince Phillips to re-sign instead of leaving as a UFA, they will have to give him the opportunity to succeed some time soon.

I didn't say the top 6.

4th line. That was the talk all day and Phillips worked with them in the morning skate.

Lewis - Zohorna - Phillips

Sit Lucic.

Three weeks ago I thought Lucic was too important to Sutter and wouldn't be scratched. Since the man has clearly lost a step, I assumed there are intangibles that must have some weight (and was mocked often for saying it)

But now he's getting less and less ice time, so yeah I think he could be scratched at some point.

And if he is the mid 20s call ups ... Zahorna and Phillips are perfect to take roles on the fourth line.

I think it's a work in process.

He isn't going to be back. The only question is if Edwards promotes Sutter or not

Edwards only really cares about conning the taxpayers into a new building anyway.

Vezina finalist turns into a pumpkin and the league’s best passer turns into a third liner.

Not that the Flames have an incredible roster but they’ve certainly been way less than the sum of their parts though.

But tbh whoever made the “sign a middling 32 yo top sixer to a 7x7” can definitely just go. Not to mention how much disrespect he’d shown the team before he got here.

So let's see, this is somehow Tre's fault even though...

- Inadequate 3 on 3 and shootout performance. 7-17 in extra time. Most likely a coaching issue. Even out the wins & losses at 12-12, that's +5 points.

- Too many regulation losses to bottom feeders. Swap even 2 of them from losses to wins and that's +4 points.

- Marky having a very down year. If he provides even a bit better goaltending we're looking at +4 points.

- Huby closer to his career averages in production, +4 points at least.

- Kylington missing all year. +3 or 4 points if he doesn't disappear suddenly before the season.

- Kadri inconsistent, more points there if he's more consistent.

Add at least 20 points to the Flames total, points they should have had, and we're having a VERY different conversation. A bunch of things outside of Tre's control completely sank the team and you're ready to run him out of town? smh

Lot of people want Sutter gone, and will be upset if he sticks around - which I expect.

But Treliving is the one I would be disappointed in staying. This team desperately needs new blood in the remaining chair in the front office that hasn't changed.

He built this mess. Now it's time for him to move on.

Where do I need to send a donation that will assist with creating a new poll on this subject? I think if we all come together as a community, we can make a miracle happen.

it's on Murray Edwards.

There were like 2 people upset in the Tkachuk and Kadri trade/signing threads last year

Deserving or not, I do get the feeling the organization is about to change directions. Treliving has been around for about a decade now, I think its justifiable to consider a change.

The owners went over his head in hiring the current coach. I'm surprised the relationship has lasted this long.

Personally I am ready for a different approach, but little confidence they get it right. These guys hired Jay Feaster.

I have to give you credit. You’ve been consistent in your dislike of the Tkachuk trade and Huberdeau/Kadri signings. I didn’t mind them at first, but now they’re leaving a bad taste in my mouth

It’s not Treliving’s fault, it’s just the players that he hand picked to form the Flames roster. Interesting that other GMs don’t use that excuse when they’re about to get canned. It’s not my fault! The players I signed weren’t good enough!

Need a cultural change from top to bottom. Everyone is gone all the executives and coaches.
