Lucic played 5 minutes again, why dress him?

He can handle it.

If the Leafs burn Vladar we'll have 2 goalies who lack confidence, despite the root cause being the 5 in front of him

Gotta feel for Markstrom there. Absolutely zero support the majority of the game.

That might have been Tanev’s worst game as a Flame, it definitely was Weegar’s worst.

Should have dressed Phillips.

Lucic somehow had an even worse game than he did against Minnesota.

Lowest single-game TOI of Lucic's career:

Jan. 2012 vs VAN: 1:27 (and a game misconduct)
Nov. 2007 vs NYI: 2:58
Dec. 2007 vs NJ: 4:13
Nov. 2007 vs MTL: 4:16
Nov. 2007 vs. OTT: 4:49
Tonight vs. CBJ: 5:02
Nov. 2007 vs. BUF: 5:07
Wednesday vs. MIN: 5:16

I gave up after 2-0. I thought it was a pretty pathetic effort up until then and it sounds like it didn't get any better.

This team can be a real chore to watch this season.

Sutter has never benched Lucic. I hope that changes soon. I like the guy but it’s clear he’s done.

Sutter said Phillips was not ahead of 9 guys tonight. Well 9 guys showed they are AHL caliber tonight.

I only watched about 10 minutes of game, and that was a pretty disappointing 10 minutes.

Ah, well.

Something seems really off with this team this year. They're just no fun to watch most of the time, and they don't seem to have the necessary skill or mental fortitude to compete on a nightly basis, which is incredibly bizarre for such a veteran, Sutter-coached team.

I don't know if it's the new guys still trying to get used to a new team/system/city...whatever. But they'd better get their s*** together soon, or these guys are gonna be on the outside looking in come playoff time.

The Phaneuf trade is obviously #1. Only a complete imbecile would even suggest the Tkachuk trade was a bad one. The other option was lose him for nothing.

i would like to see phillips on line 1 or 2, see if his scoring touch will carry over, but, with Sutter he will probably be on line 4.

Michael Stone: you may have scored, but you were utter trash out there.

That was just awful. Flames looked totally disinterested.

How do you lose to Columbus? HOW?!

Sometimes you just get a combination of players who are individually good but have zero chemistry with each other when playing in a certain system. I think that's what we have this year.

Last year Sutter's system worked because we had hard checking defensive play with the top line having the top chemistry in the entire NHL. Now all we have left is the checking defensive play and zero chemistry up and down the lineup. Nobody is ever in the right position, passes are always ahead or behind. Players are making stupid turnovers causing odd man rushes because their partners are not in a good position to receive the puck.

What sucks is that a lot of fans had this game circled. Flames players should be totally embarrassed. What a joke.
