I don't mind the whistling late in games when teams are killing the clock but playing park the bus and whistling from the start is just a terrible combo

On the team, the majority of their group are ethnic Moroccans who were not actually born, raised or trained in Morocco.

In Arab culture, no matter where you are born, you take the nationality of your father. You could be born in China and 1/8th Moroccan, but if your paternal great grandfather was Moroccan, then you're Moroccan.

The Swiss were way too lax on that throw in.

That being said, what a shot.

The Swiss did get caught, but the guy throwing it kind of misdirected them.

And yeah, shot was a laser!

Is Ronaldo even on the bench? Cameras couldn't find him in the celebration

What a header. Swiss are in deep doo-doo.

Not sure about Rinaldo, looks pretty happy to me. As happy as he can be with being a scratch.

I’m hearing rumours Spain intentionally tanked again today to avoid a tough QF matchup with portugal. Just like they did in their last group game to avoid Brazil.

I was one of those obnoxious fans at the game. With Canada out, we threw our support behind Morocco as the last MENA team at the WC and we've been treated so well the last couple weeks in Jordan and Qatar. Plus last Canada game it was pretty clear it was going to be a sea of Morocco supporters so why not join the fun. Was sitting behind the net where the penalties were taken. Needless to say, very fun game to be at and met some great Moroccan fans very pleased to see us supporting their side.
