Markstrom is just bad vibes right now. Kipper was such a cool head.. makes me miss him cause our #1 is doing Mike Smith stuff on the ice. Emotions are getting the best of him and it's sucking the life out of this team.

Toffoli is not 1st line winger, and our 1st PP takes to time to do something.
Can we play Huber-Kadri-Lindholm, Mangi-Backlund-Coleman as top 6?
If Markstrom continues play like this, I would trade Markstrom and Toffoli for 1st line RW who can score.

How much are the Flames missing Kylington right now? He's the only pure offensive defenseman on the roster, and was a great contributor to how great the PP was last season. Andersson just can't fill that role, and it's apparent that the team sorely lacks an appropriate PP QB.

All the Flames woes right now come down to lack of offensive skill, and inadequate goaltending from Markstrom. Both are problems that aren't gonna go away unless change is done.

I agree. Quit getting involved in scrums and focus on stopping the puck

Not withstanding my negativity about the offense, the Flames dominated that game. Only way they were going to lose was a bad goal or a PP, and Mangiapane handed one to the Habs. His nightmare season continues.

It’s obvious. He’s the only defender seemingly capable of making an offensive play, yet Andersson gets 5 minutes more and all the high leverage situations

What wants these two and give you a first line RW?

Yep.
Like, sure he's let in some bad goals, but even if he was playing lights out, he can't score. Yes, the team plays differently when they feel like they can count on a goalie to make a save for them, and maybe that's having a negative effect.
At the same time, I'm sure the goalie is able to play a little better when he knows the team can score well enough to cover up a mistake. Imagine how tight he's gripping his stick knowing that letting in more 2+ goals is basically going to be too deep a hole to dig out of for the team in front of you.

All that being said, just play Vladar.

Opportunity lost. When you're chasing all those teams, you can't afford to lose against an absolute #### opponent. This team doesn't appear to have what it takes. Too many passengers.

Partially due to fans Bronx cheering him, which was gross and shameful.

Too many Twilight contract UFA mercenaries on this team. No buy-in to the org or the city. Just come out here and get paid handsomely to ride out your career.

Get some young hungry guys up.

Ruzicka is the most dangeorus looking flame right now

Absolutely a potential opportunity lost. But if the pacific division stands still, thats the small silver lining. After a loss, I'll take it

Edit - So much for that silver lining. Kraken and Kings both came back. Wish the Flames had that in them.

It's like every player is thinking wait for the perfect open net tap in when it should be pass pass shoot from the point, pass pass shoot from the point while someone is screening the goalie. They refuse to do tried and true simple pp. I would love to see passing to stone and him 1 timing it over and over

This was a game the Flames shouldn't have lost. Have to regroup and do it quickly.

Markstrom may need an extended break. Just not the same goalie since Game 1 of the Oilers series.

Is it? I don’t know about you but the play before deserves it.
