Lol that player wasn't part of the trades, Montreal didn't give him up.

The fact that the cap space was needed was due to poor cap management and horrendous overpays in free agency such as Neal (resulting in Lucic), Coleman, Rooney, etc etc.

At the end of the day it boils down to incompetent asset management, something that has plagued this organization for the last 30 years.

The fact some fans think the game is over after one goal against says a heck of a lot more of the state of the offense of this team than it does the goaltender.

Some teams can outscore a mistake by their goalie, but not this one. Lack of offense is a major concern right now.

Small, very small, silver lining? Oilers lost, Knights lost, Kings are losing, Kraken are losing.

Yes, I know. But the reason they traded Monahan was to sign Kadri, pretty simple.

Just tuned in. Was not able to see the game.

Sounds like another Markstrom special and lots of shots by the Flames that were easy saves.

I don’t understand why Vladar didn’t get the start.

Sutter is really starting to piss me off.

That’s not his game. He needs play driving offensive players to be successful.

On a other note, can anyone explain to me why in the #### sutter started Markstrom? The team is not good enough to spot the other team a goal and play the second best goalie every game

it set the tone for the game

if you believe in momentum and confidence and the roles they play in games then you would agree that it put them behind it from the outset

I like the jersey but not the hockey. Markstrom plus the scoreless forward make this team unlikable.

True except the dmen don’t shoot on PP1. They pass to side boards, reposition, pass to side boards, reposition, rinse and repeat.

Prolly the last game I’ll watch this season unless there are personnel changes.

We’ve got good pieces, but no finishers. Very likely gonna be on the outside looking in, with a 13th pick.

Such is life as a flames fan.

Well we know the roster will be essentially the same for the next few years so there’s always next year. And the year after. And…

Markstrom is broken. He’s complete trash now, and can’t be counted on at all.

The forwards don’t work at all, there’s no creativity and no chemistry. Worst of all, they’re not even fun to watch. They got lucky winning over the Panthers because of god awful goaltending.

Strength of schedule be damned. This team is not good.

I personally don’t think Lindholm is a downgrade on Sam Bennett in any way shape or form.

If he’s that dependent on others to generate offence then it’s gonna be a long 8 years.

Had Markstrom maintained his composure the Flames would have had at least 1 point tonight. Instead his decision making directly, and indirectly lead to both goals against.

The Flames had no finish tonight, didn't make Allen move a whole lot. Plenty of blame to go around, but Markstrom wears the goat horns in this one.
