While I can find the humour in having an Italian footballer as part of a "No Football, No Worries" Qatar tourism campaign, the ads themselves are doing nothing for me. The ads focus on the sand and the sea and I'm like we've got plenty of that in Australia with a fraction of the human rights abuses.

LOL! You must know they're marketing to countries who don't have coastlines! Like England, Wales, France, Spain, Portugal, USA, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Morocco...wait, am I wrong?

That third goal from Serbia was brilliant.

Crazy game. Soccer is more fun when the defences are sloppy.

There is a former Serbian player on the Aussie post game coverage. He is pissed off.

Another exciting game with both teams playing attacking football, getting spoiled today. Ghana 2-0 up but doesn't look like it will finish that way.

I get why TSN is doing this, but the point I'm trying to get at is that when the next national teams are on and the major broadcasters don't show the games and people complain that it's on a streaming service, this is why.

I just hope that when the men's team plays their next games in March that there are more people paying attention than there were in the fall of 2018. Not expecting it to have even remotely the type of interest of the last two games, but hopefully it moved the needle even a little.
I agree with you on OneSoccer having a purpose for things like Nations League or random games that the the big networks just aren't going to cover. But Canada Soccer needs TSN or Sportsnet to show as many games as they can. And maybe with MLS going to Apple - there will be an opening for the CPL or whoever on some of the channels.

Now THAT was a game. Korea put on a clinic. Too bad they didn't get the result. Ghana just had so much heart.

Drama, suspense, and intrigue. Couldn't ask for more! Best game of the WC so far.

What an incredible match that was! Korea is irate for not getting one last corner. What a game though.

Why are you cheering for Belgium over Croatia?

Croatia is the little nation that could.

After 2 great games today, get ready for 90 minutes of Switzerland parking the bus. So I can take those 2 hours off and recover.

After that Portugal-Uruguay should be fun. I expect Uruguay to break Ronaldo's legs.

Tough for me to pull for Croatia when their supporters do this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...atia-fans.html

And at the same time, pride flags and such aren't allowed in the stadiums, but no issues with that kind of banner/flag?

HNS will get fined for the banner, so I wouldn't say it's "allowed".

I won't get into politics as I agree the signs were inappropriate and the past should remain in the past. I will say that Borjan is a provocateur in his own right who, to this day, states that 1/4 of Croatian territory is actually Serbia, not unlike Russia and Luhansk/Donetsk.

You know it's a world cup when nations start digging up historic conflicts as a justification to be ####s to one another. Good thing in Canada the First Nations are so bad at soccer we don't have to deal with it.
