You are the one who has made the accusation, feel free to provide some evidence. I am open to a discussion about it.

I haven't seen any of that. I am not saying it doesn't exist either.

But what does anyone possibly gain by not at least engaging in a conversation and trying to understand where he is coming from.

Writing people off because we don't agree with them, possibly because they lack education or life experience, doesn't help our community. It only further divides it.

Maybe these conversations have happened and I have missed them. I am willing to admit I might be wrong here.

But the rhetoric that flies around here at times is toxic and doesn't help anyone and definitely doesn't foster healthy conversations. The word Nazi and fascist gets thrown around in here like candy. Sometimes I wonder if the people using the terms even understand them.

If he truly was posting vile hate speech or derogatory comments, would he not have been banned by now?

Absolutely!

All I am saying is, in our path to be better, maybe we need to tone down the somewhat over the top reactions and comments of our own. Which is all I am commenting on here. I come into a thread and a large majority of replies and comments are wildly toxic.

The path to better isn't "How do we force others to be better", in my opinion its "How do we make our community better so that those that want to be part of it will seek to better themselves to be part of it".

Anywho, this conversation probably has run it's course. I made my thoughts known!

One of the problems is that he simply doesn’t engage in discussions. It has been discussed before, but they very rarely will argue or defend their points.

CP is hardly alone in this on the internet, but I tend to think most posts are written from ego and in the interest of the poster validating their own worldview rather than engaging in actual discussion. It's pretty rare to find someone actually asking another poster what they think, except in the context of debate where they are challenging someone to justify a view that they believe is wrong.
