Long thread from a Site Reliability Engineer. In my career, I have worked in that space (on a much, much smaller scale) and this stuff is real and scary. Twitter is a big platform, not Facebook big, but big. And to think of it being run by a skeleton crew is a scary thing. When you lose that many people, the people that leave are typically the ones with the most options, which means they're the best ones.

Who was it that suggested they'd eventually muddle their way through to color coded checks by trial and error?

I hope it's a slightly different shade of blue.

Are the Muskies going to finally admit these policies were dumb, and rolling them out to his teams via Twitter was even dumber?
The plot doesn't thicken.

There's an interesting tweet in the RIP Twitter thread from someone from SpaceX that explains that the whole of the management at SpaceX is basically dedicated to corralling and steering Musk into making harmless decisions, that the whole company views him as child and they find ways to keep him entertained while they get on with running the company

Well at least he's choosing a direction rather than trying to pretend to provide brand safety to advertisers while allowing every kind of speech he personally wants.

Hilariously, Twitter has been spending most of the week re-instating fascist/alt-right accounts and suspending journalists.

You are really good at determining who is a fascist.
