Which might make sense, given Petersen is a disgraced pseudointellectual who panders to an ideologically motivated and intellectually bereft base. So, why waste energy actually discussing anything of importance?

Petersen is just another youtube "brand" owner that will do anything for clicks/hits. Smith will do/say anything to maintain/create/pander to any form of rural right following cuz that is all she has and I figure she knows it. My concern with her is that she is going to somehow avoid an election...not sure how that goes down legally but you can bet she has gov't lawyers working on this.

She won't. She wants power and has no idea how government is supposed to work anyways.

Damn, Tony ain't messin' around, he buried the #### outta her like a boss! Too bad Smith and her followers won't be able to understand half the words and phrases found in that letter, there's too many syllables and such lexicon from a post-secondary educated citizen may be immediately eronious to them because it doesn't fit with their 'quackery' (props to Tony on that one!) narrative.

Well done, I read it twice. REALLY well written, right down to the comma. I'm sure there will be more coming. Smith will try and brush it off as sour grapes. Fact is, she is kind of repulsive.

Although I am no fan of Smith's negativity and some of her comments regarding AHS, healthcare workers and still fighting the Covid war etc, there will be changes coming to our health care system. This is evident right across the country and being talked about in every province by everybody.
Certain things need to change, modernize, improve or whatever. Sometimes in life and in business, the people who will be most affected will be the ones who scream the loudest.
I recall reading a business story on CP Rail and the changes that were getting implemented there during the rein of Hunter Harrison, for those who don't know who he was, think of him like the Steve Job's of railroads. He came into the Calgary headquarters during Stampede week on his first day, saw all his top executives were out partying. He put a stop to that quickly! Went down to the basement one day, saw a mountain of Fedex boxes piled up, ready for shipping. Asked where they were going, "The Alyth yard" he was told, which is the railroads yard in Ogden as opposed to the downtown office. He couldn't believe they were sending boxes of items down to Memphis, Tennessee and than up to Calgary.
His next order of business was canning almost everybody in the customer service department, his line of thinking was, if your a company with awful customer service, your going to have a large customer service department.
Not saying I agree with everything but changes are always going to be hard.

You're very much correct.
AHS needs some serious changes. People always lament that its 'underfunded' but it really isnt. They just waste a lot of money on useless crap and, unfortunately, its going to cost even more money to fix it.
But they need someone who knows what they're doping to come in and be willing to clean the house.
And they should probably side with discretion as the better part of valour and not tell the taxpayers how much its costing while it happens.

Nobody doubts AHS needs some fixing, it's just that no one with a brain thinks Danielle Smith has the understanding or common sense to be the one to do it. It'd be like taking your car to the mechanic because it doesn't run smoothly, and the mechanic insisting 3 wheels are better than 4, and the engine should be replaced with a steam boiler.

I wouldnt trust Danielle Smith to walk my dog. She doesnt have 2 brain cells to rub together.
Being unhappy with AHS in its current state does not equal endorsement of Smith.

I'm surprised there has been no public call for asking physicians, nurses, and staff directly.
I can say in no uncertain terms all of these roles will have significant input on how to 'fix' things, based on operational experience. And there are a TON of smart people across the province who can lend their expertise and opinions where needed. I have been close to the healthcare community for years. I see first-hand how people on the inside form perspectives on how to make a better Alberta healthcare system for the public.
Tap into those primary care networks, community health centers and family care clinics. THEY are the experts we need to listen to. Especially in an Alberta context.
