Holy smokes if you can’t enjoy a win in a game like that you need to stop watching hockey. I think everyone in here is sick of the negativity. We had 7 games to get it out. Piss off and go whine in one of the other threads.

Really annoying being excited after a win and coming here to read half the fans taking a crap on the team, especially considering that’s all we’ve been reading for weeks now.

If some young draft pick was playing as well as Ritchie is some of you would be losing your mind about how awesome he is

Please leave him out of the complaining about 4th liners...he has been in that role and great in that role all season

And what the hell is wrong with Backlund getting lots of ice? he has also been great

I get that Markstrom hasn’t been brilliant this season. Well, he looked like his old self last game against WPG. Anyway, I feel he didn’t have much chance on nearly every GA tonight. Most goals were top shelf or off the pipe. Ol’ fashioned puck luck for LA. Or was it? They have some serious snipers man. That second goal hurt, but that one caught everyone off guard, even the goal scorer!

Not Marky’s best game, but he showed up big in the end. Just enjoy the extremely important division W.

May be they will enjoy watching the Oilers, where the wonder twins play 25 minutes a game.

Oh well, can’t win them all. Sucks that Markstrom lost us the game and the 4th line played the entire game while Huberdeau was benched for pooping again. Nightmare season continues!

Is Sutter his agent or something? Does he get a cut?

Well most of that has to do with PP time. PP2 had 1:52 of ice time, meanwhile PP1 had 1:06, but Kdari changed early and got only 0:47. The reason for PP1 getting less ice time seemed to be that the first line was on the ice when the Kings took their penalties, so we ended up starting PP2. In addition Backlund, Lindholm, and Lewis got over a min of SH time, meanwhile Kadri and Huberdeau don't kill penalties.

As for average line time 5 on 5 they were pretty even:
Huberdeau - Backlund - Lewis 11:40
Coleman - Dube - Ritchie 11:01
Ruzicka - Lindholm - Toffoli 10:21
Lucic - Kadri - Mangiapane 9:43

yep, sometimes people need to step back from the ledge and actually look at what is going on out there.

Like the game against Boston when people were freaking out about Ritchie being on the ice in the final two minutes of a 2-1 game!

The reality of it was he came out of the penalty box and setup an odd man rush and then went directly off.

Up next: Huby returns to Florida to get some revenge on the team that bounced him in the playoffs and the team that traded him away.

Well Markstrom did stop the first and the last shot in the game. That's an improvement.

Not to continue on the negativity train, but there are some fundamental issues with Markstrom's play that get taught and harped on even at the peewee level.

Goal #2 he didn't hold his post. Inexcusable.
Goal #4 wasn't at the top of his crease or beyond.
One more goal I can't remember which. You need to have your glove in the air with your elbow tucked tight.

For all the short leash that seemingly every other player is getting from Sutter there are three mistakes by Markstrom which should have him watching the next game.

He made one real save all night. The team won tonight in spite of him.

Let's not forget that LA was a playoff team last year. Need wins against these types of teams and this is a big win early in the season. You either go 2-7 or 1-8 as a record and most would prefer the former.

Shout out to Tanev, Backlund, and Ruzicka for two in a row solid games. Shout out to Mang for potting one too.

Need Huberdeau and Dube to get hot then this team is cooking with gas.

they have chemistry and were good tonight, we can't expect good terms to lay down and die without any pushback? we could have had a couple more goals.

Win is all that matters 6-5 or 6-3

he was terrible ? bit of a hot take, 1 goal he would like to have back, that was pretty fast turn and shoot on the rebound

A win! Yaaaaaay...

However this team lacks chemistry in spades. Should THIS team make the playoffs, they are not poised to perform well.

We need a high-performing RW that can play with Hubs. We need goaltending.

We need chemistry.

Salute.

I would say that the Kopitar goal was weak as hell. He was way out past the hashmarks....Markstrom had all day to see that shot.
