Takes a couple of blowouts but a few Oiler fans are waking up.

For all the Woody is awful call, the pressures hitting him hard. He looked really flustered after the game, praised his team for his effort, and then talked about the game getting away from them.

Nope Woody, they looked like crap from the first drop of the puck on, Campbell held them in when they were wildly outshot in the first period, then fell apart.

Woody leaving his goalie in during the onslaught, when it was clear that his confidence was gone was just a dumb move.

At the same time for all the bragging from Oil fans about him being the guy to bringing defensive structure, he's sure fallen apart on that side, its not just the goaltending. The Oilers are just positionally bad in their own zone. It doesn't help that he's got some lousy personal.

He according to Oiler fans and even associate coach McDavid ran a country club camp.

I wonder if they'll bring Mac-T in to teach him to coach the Oiler way? Or if he's been reminded to buy Skype premium. Holland has to be on the hot seat. His moves have been disastrous.

Is Campbell bad . . . . yes, he's just incredibly shaky. But lets be honest, you could put Roy, or Plante behind that dead armed blueline and they would have a .870 svpct.

Right now the only "Brilliant" coaching move that Woodsoft has is this. "McDavid, Draisaitl get out there".

Yes the Flames are a disappointment to Calgary fans.

But the Oilers were an oversold bill of goods by their fans and by the media, and now they're paying the price as 29 other franchises laugh in their face.

Perfect
They had a chance to show what they were made of
Playing a tired team
Backup goalie
gifted a goal from Burns

and they didn't disappoint
they are who we knew they were

New boss same as the old boss.

Maybe its not the Boss' fault...maybe, now hear me out, its the only strategy that they have?

Flames are dominating and losing
Oilers are getting dominated and losing

right now it doesn't really matter a loss is a loss but

I bet by the if we bump this in January the Flames have a handsome lead on the Oilers...I could be wrong but that is my feeling

First response in the thread:

Disagree. Most teams played so far are playoff teams from last year / top of NHL this year. 8-7 in the playoffs puts Oil as winning two 7-game series and down 0-1 in WCF. & this w/ many in lineup under performing. The Oil need to figure somethings out, but not so dire as all that.

Because that’s exactly how playoffs work.

Matej Blümel, a player drafted by the Oilers but their incompetent management forgot to sign, just scored his first NHL goal for Dallas this afternoon. Hoping for a long career for Matej Blümel!

The best part about the Blumel story is that is sounds like the Oilers didn't mean to lose his rights but just didn't understand the rules. I am sure the information was posted in here, but for anyone that may have missed it, they sent out an official Tweet the same day they lost his rights praising him as a prospect to watch.

Too bad the Flames didn't sign him just for laughs.
