So I found a replacement part on the Garant website. You can get a new blade, including metal wear strip, for $18.99. Plus $24.51 shipping. #### I hate this country.
I was looking at those the other day as well, as my blade is cracked and toast. Does shipping stay the same if we do a group buy?
I complained in the weather thread, but I will also complain here. If you're too nervous to drive in this weather then stay home! Call in sick, cancel your appointments whatever.
Constantly feathering the breaks makes you a hazzard. You will cause accidents by slowing down unpredictably.
I'm with you. I usually take transit to work but had to drive today.
Got stuck for a bit behind someone doing 30 in a 60 zone on a major road.
Weather isn't that bad. Snow on the road as it was too early to be plowed, but clear skies and no wind.
I use Montana shipping outlet. They have one in Eureka and one in Sweetgrass. It's really reasonable. They hold the item for 6 months. I've had my friends grab my stuff for me when they are passing through.
I had some stuff there and then Covid hit. They held onto it until I could get it which was over 18 months later. One was a t-shirt for my BIL who in that time passed away. I forgot about it because it was just a fun one off thing I was going to get him.
2 lane major artery road , one vehicle at front of the pack drives down the middle of the two lanes as if it's one , I'm assuming because they afraid of being near the 2 foot deep curb bank , then of course people being airheads that just follow the pack follow that persons lead and go in one long single file line .. get to an intersection and I am the only one trying to go straight in the left lane as the road is marked and so I'm wedged awkwardly half way between the single line of dumb dumbs and the people in the turning lane trying to go left . have to wait a few blocks before they revert to the real lane configuration
I wasn't particularly annoyed bc I wasn't in a rush but that **** just amazes me that people that live here drive like that
road was all nicely plowed too .. plenty of space for 4 car widths / 2 each way . maroons!

I started a new job in April. It has been good, challenging, rewarding and I work from home.
The worst part is People (insert my lovely long suffering wife) continue to take the pen off my desk.
Nearly everyday I have to go find the pen or get a new one.
Argh
My dad used an old school method to combat this. Fountain pens.
He'd hand the person the pen without the cap. No one is stupid enough to get ink all over themselves or stab themselves with a nib by throwing a fountain pen into a bag or pocket or whatever, so he always gets his pen back.

Oh I like this idea.
I have my grandfather's fountain pen from the early 1900's

I love fountain pens and have a few that I use. It's true, no one walks away with one. The issue is that you will see some of the most boneheaded ways of damaging your pen you can believe. Once a lady dropped the pen straight down directly on the nib onto a tile floor. Then there are the people who don't know how to use them (fair), and push super hard because no ink is coming out.
If that pen is a keepsake or something you don't want wrecked, I'd not lend it to anyone.

Sitting next to people on a plane that stink of cigarettes smoke.
You want to smoke darts and kill yourself, that’s on you. Don’t make me suffer by smelling it for 2 hours straight with no escape.
People who smell like smoke getting super offended when someone doesn't want to be near them RGMG. Like they think they're bestowing a great gift on everyone around them by smelling the way they do.
At the Gym right now. Several people here. One guy blasting his Ukrainian radio station from his phone on the floor.
Every day people are turning into bigger and bigger inconsiderate #######s only thinking of themselves and not everyone else who are now subjected to their preferences.
Where’s the common sense of “maybe I shouldn’t annoy everyone else here”? People are the worst. Wear headphones. If you don’t have any, don’t blast your music through your phone speaker.

Between people blaring their own music on their phones and the super creepy filming themselves working out, I had to quit going ot the gym and build my own at home. Don't regret it for a second.
