In fact, a month ago, I sent an email to relatives for an upcoming dinner. My sister-in-law asked clarification on the time because siri automatically created an event based on my email for 7pm even though my email clearly stated 6pm. No idea how Siri came up with that time.
The worst date/time requirement we got was to support India's Hindu calendar. Fortunately we were able to convince management that it wasn't in our best interest to do so.

I think for the vast majority of cases if you assumed local time for the time zone of the person creating the invite you'd be fine. Then adjust for DST and time zones as needed for attendees in other time zones.

So I found a replacement part on the Garant website. You can get a new blade, including metal wear strip, for $18.99. Plus $24.51 shipping. #### I hate this country.

I needed a replacement part for a hose reel and it was laughable when I looked it up. $5 plastic piece that was smaller in size than a fist and it was $30 for shipping.

I wonder if anybody’d be up for arranging a Montana Mailbox pickup. I can think of a few items that only seem available in the States.

And yet they don’t sell the red nylon replacement wear strips from another shovel they sell. Strange & annoying.

You guys are right for sure, but when you order something to ship it is actually a big fata around for a small business. I'd pin it at about 20 man minutes of extra work. Grab the item, wrap it for protection, box it, make an address label, affix the label, arrange shipping, and then pay for shipping.
Amazon has spoiled us all (myself included), but that charge is absolutely fair unless you believe people should work for free for you. The $5 part in particular. Like, if they were just to charge you their cost on shipping of - say - $12, then they would have literally paid to get you that part since they're paying staff to labour on your behalf without compensation. A typical business can't afford to do that.

Ordered some late night food yesterday, food arrived, I buzz the guy up. I always take a peek through the peep hole to see if the food is there at my door and I see two girls who were visiting my neighbor (in their 20s) chatting with the guy that lived there with the guy seemingly trying to convince them to steal my food while the one girl seems a bit hesitant. Open the door, neighbor slips back into his unit, closing the door like a coward and the girls drop the bag and walk away. I say, "almost!" in a friendly tone and that was that. Annoying. Don't know my neighbor but I've always said hello when we happen to run into each other. Also met his mom once when she was visiting. The trust is broken!

When it comes to a company like Garant, my part was from Ames which is part of Garant, they are far from a small business though. I'd assume their shipping and logistics are quite a bit different than a local shop with half a dozen employees.

I have used it once, but it was kind of pricey. I think most people just get stuff sent to Montana and do a pick up themselves, depending on the value.

I complained in the weather thread, but I will also complain here. If you're too nervous to drive in this weather then stay home! Call in sick, cancel your appointments whatever.
Constantly feathering the breaks makes you a hazzard. You will cause accidents by slowing down unpredictably.

What really should happen is that there should be a section beside the full shovels that contains replacement blades. But that would cut into sales of new shovels…

From here on out, no package left in front of his door will ever be safe. First sign of anything from Amazon and I’m throwing it straight in the dumpster.
