The take aways from the game;
- Nhl officiating is an absolute disgrace
- Sutter and his stupid way of rolling 4 lines every god damn game without any consideration of time and score is getting old
- The Flames need more speed upfront
- The turnovers and running around in our own zone needs to stop, especially after the other team scores

There are quite a number of guys underperforming so far this season.
Dube
Mangiapane
Huberdeau (although he had a good game)
Lindholm
Coleman

Points wise its exactly the same as if they won one of the past two games and lost one
certainly doesn't feel like it especially with the ####ing refs.
drawn 2 penalties in 2 games

On a clean shot or even a long deflection yeah. But when a shot that close hits a stick and goes the opposite side from where it was going you need a ton of luck to get a piece of it.

You replied to a stat indicating the flames were elite at preventing high danger chances, but getting almost the fewest saves That's not being hung out to dry, that's Markstrom and Vladar sucking.

Sad but true. It appears to be turning out that way. Last year was such a good year for so many Flames.

Deserved the win today, keep playing that way and things will turn very soon.
Markstrom and the lack of truly elite talent still remains a concern.
Fitting that Dobson gets the game winner. Thanks for nothing again Hamonic.

Flames have a .884 save percentage on the season now, not going to win many when you consistently get a save percentage below .900

Playing small in his net IMO
Sorokin makes that save and tougher ones tonight

Sure, but at the end of the day, you just can't take a penalty like that in OT.

Exactly. Goalies play the shot that is being made based on the shooter’s movement
Adjustments to redirections are impossible a lot of the time

I honestly don't know what they're supposed to do, completely stop being physical at all, stop hitting all together? because now hitting or physical play is a toss up if it's going to be a penalty or not, it changes on a period to period, game to game basis. The officials are doing a terrible job at setting the boundaries and being consistent. A penalty needs to be a penalty no matter what the circumstances are.

The others on your list might not be playing up to the level we might expect, but Mangiapane is on another level of insignificant right now.

The refs did that, or something.
Here's a thought, the officiating can be bad and we can take bad penalties and get crap goaltending all at the same time.

I was coaching at my son’s practice tonight, so I have watched the game yet.
Hard not to notice a sub .900 save percentage again.
Markstrom struggling, not great team defense or some of both?
