What a disappointment but it is not unexpected. Move on to NJ. It will be a tough night

L'Ecuyer and MacDougall. The latter is a newbie, but Freddie's been around for years and the Flames have never fared well with him.

Fair game I guess but then I see the Oilers down by 2

I realize they both only have 4 points, but at least Dube is noticeable. He's in the corners grinding for the puck, he's hitting guys, he's showing energy.
Mangiapane is just a black hole. He's doing nothing.

Not sure why. But compared to last years team this version is very mentally weak.

Can’t hold a lead. Dumb penalties. Not making saves when needed. Brutal D zone coverage.

What the heck is going on?

No. You have less post special teams screwed up lines to undo. Naz and Toffoli don't kill penalties and have been getting first shift after a PK, from what I've seen. Conversely, Sutter hasn't been using the 4th line first shift after a PP, I've seen them get the last few seconds of a PP, but not first shift after.

Lots of special teams time would decrease the TOI for the 4th line.

I can't imagine the NHL doesn't have a trust thermocline as it relates to prices and the cap outpacing inflation and trash officiating.

If this reffing happened to the Oilers they would launch a public inquiry

That call was weak and terrible but ####ing Andersson can't be so stupid. Just a mean nothing garbage play. Team has a lot to figure out. I didn't think Disimone was terrible but hopefully get the regulars back soon.

Pretty stupid on Anderson part, when the whole game, refs are calling it one sided, why do something stupid like that? Why give the ref a chance to screw you?

There's going to be no referendum, no glorious revolutionary change to how the game is reffed.
So just give up? why can't they look at the officiating and try fixing it or improving it? if the nhl isn't always looking at ways to improve their on ice product, their not doing their jobs.

I've been on cp since 2002 and i've never seen it as 1 sided as it is now, sure we always will complain but it feels more obvious and not like it's just human error now.

My thoughts exactly. Borderline I kinda hope so too. They kinda deserve it.
