When someone repeatedly goes off the topic to make the focus a poster they don't agree with by belittling then that is cyber bullying. I get you and all the cool kids think it is ok because it has been the norm on here for years.

People that whine that they're being picked on, lol. Your take is a #### take. That's what they're saying. If it isn't, then its up to you to prove that.
Who have I blamed? You've said this at least twice now. If anything my perspective is borne out through my recognition of my own imperfections.
You continue to blame 'shallow journalism', though it was deep enough for most of us to arrive at the correct answer.
You've blamed his mother, despite trying to claim the contrary in this very post where you manage to victim blame yet again. It's remarkable.
You've blamed his father. Which is a particularly interesting one as we have very limited information on that incident (shallow journalism, amirite?). Anyone who claims to have an iota of compassion for people who make mistakes might conceive a very plausible scenario that he felt his son was being subjected to more poor treatment...perhaps you'd be more willing to forgive him if he tricked the coach into eating a urinal soaked candy, though?
I don't know why you, in particular, need to keep hearing this but here it is again:
1. No one here is cool. We're all posting on an internet forum about hockey all day. Cool in the sense you are meaning it is also kind of a dead term. The cool kids now are the kids who are most inclusive. Still, it does seemingly disclude you so I can see how you're confused.
2. There's no group, or gang, or organized other side to the arguments you keep engaging in. No one is out to get you with concerted effort. If you feel like the constant weight of opinion is against you, perhaps, just maybe, you should reconsider your position and try to understand why so many people are dead set against you. Crazy idea, I know.

No. Wrong. Nobody is threatening you, no one is intimidating you, and if you are being "belittled", you've failed to demonstrate any instances of it, let alone an egregious pattern of it that might qualify as bullying.
Take it up with the mods if you think a poster is bullying you. If you have, and they disagree with your assessment as to whether you're being bullied, then your recourse is to block that poster and just not respond. We're not in high school and stuck in the same class, you don't HAVE to associate with anyone here you that don't want to. Stop acting helpless when you're not.
I was trying to write this same post up, but didnt have the words.
So, thanks!

#2 is exactly what a lizard man would say. I'm not buying it.

There are a few hills I am prepared to die on here but the chances a professional athlete, any professional athlete in any major league, pretty much isnt going to turn out to be a complete ######bag is sadly slim to none, while I clearly believe in second chances, my whole life's work has been dedicated to that idea, I am not going to the wall for any athlete let alone this one regardless of my personal feelings about redemption and forgiveness, I honestly dont think he's worth arguing over guys

are you saying that all pro athletes inevitably become d bags? thats a bit of a broad brush stroke

No, but I am saying it never ever surprises me when they turn out to be, particularly in N American well US sports, I actually dont blame the athletes, the way the High School/College/Pro Sports world works it's pretty much a text book on how to raise/create a ######bag.

The vast majority of NHL'ers I've dealt with are generally good people. At worst, they're flawed like the rest of us.
I can only name a small handful of the type you're talking about.
my money is still on option 2. I mean, they themselves took him off their draft board in 2020, they knew it wasn't an isolated incident (like they claimed when they signed him). They probably thought they could deal with the initial backlash, weather the storm for a couple of days and ultimately get away with it.
I always come back to Cardinals GM Steve Keim, who, at the NFL combine, was once asked about character concerns of certain prospects and said "if Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3 in the 40 dash, we'd diagnose it as an eating disorder". The Bruins probably underestimated the amount of backlash and figured it adding a prospect who dominated the USHL for free was worth it.
Someone said that? That is hilarious!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
The fact they didn't sign him instead of the Bruins is probably the most surprising thing about this whole debacle.
Miller said that there were a couple other teams that were interested but he picked the Bruins. Quite possible that the Oilers wanted him but he said no thanks lol.
