I know everyone wants Huberdeau to score what about Mangiapane guy is invisible he contributes nothing.

Still think Sutter has run his course and should be fired.

And yeah I can see this being a rough season. I don’t think they’ll miss the playoffs or anything but I see mid 90s the most likely outcome now with fighting for a wild card spot. It’s likely going to take a while for this team to gel and I think they need to make personal changes and get some new blood in from the minors. Yes they’ll be raw but they need the speed and offensive skill desperately.

Some of the worst Flames hockey I have seen in years. On the bright side, Gaudreau continues to lose.

I’m shocked at how poor this team is playing defensively. Shocking for a Daryl Sutter coached team to look this bad.

It would be nice if the Flames had a player besides Backs who can gain the zone with the puck on his stick rather than a dump and chase.

Rooney getting beat by Wood on that last goal is not a good look.

Huberdeau is still not showing anything at all.

Who is the Flames game breaker now?

What a disappointment of a first period.

Oh for sure that's gonna happen weeks after he got an extension.

Wow. Cannot believe crap like this.

A sutter team might lose but the other team will have to fight for every goal, And the Flames will go down fighting, i don't get what is happening.

The entire forward group is lost right now. Except Kadri. But how long can that last?

The Marky apologists are out in full force I see. Yeah, our D is pretty crap, but he is clearly cooked mentally. Edmonton ruined him bad.

On a side note, how different is it not having Johnny out there? We had such a threatening 1st line. Now when either of our two top lines are out there, we don't seem dangerous at all.

Feel bad for Mackey, rough period. Terrible team defence all round though.

You’d have to be an imbecile to blame the goalie for any of those.

It's why all these quick teams just scorch the Flames with 10 bell scoring opportunities leaving our goaltenders hung out to dry. Have to see this team start going to the net instead of playing dump and chase around the boards.
Kinda think something like this is true. Oilers identified a serious and real weakness in Markstrom (mid glove side shots) and other teams are using it nightly. Add in the man-cover defense and slow transition game and ... yeah the Flames are getting worked in the last few games.

I think the Kadri line is how Darryl would like the fowards to play, but he's only got 3 guys capable of it. Toffoli's worked his ass off, I think, but he's still not fast enough to be much of a danger in the modern game as a skater... as a pure shooter, maybe.

Team just looks absolutely lost out there in both ends.

We all knew the Huberdeau extension wouldn't age well.... But this is ridiculous.
