After about 30 minutes into the finale, I realized how they were going to make it end, and I just got angry.
An absolute waste of time watching this series.

It pisses me off that this is renewed for a 4th season before the 3rd is out and Sandman hasn't been renewed yet.

We've watched the first 3 episodes and they've been great. I'm a huge sucker for Horror anthologies though.

We watched them all and the first 3 were great. The 4-6 were ok and the 7th was almost unwatchable. I enjoyed the final episode more than I thought I would.

Alright finally got all finished with All Quiet on the Western Front.
Amazing. I echo some of karl's thoughts on changes from the book. I won't go into detail there because spoilers, but some major scenes are missing, which is a shame.
I just re-listened to Dan Carlin's Blueprint for Armageddon over the summer to get in the right mindset and damn, seeing it played out in this way was incredible. Does a much better job of showing the horrors of WW1 than 1917 did. For the battle scenes, just wow. Incredible. Especially the one about halfway through with the reveal of the Saint Chamond tanks, then the flamethrowers. Terrifying stuff. I do wish the movie did more to show the effect of some of the nonstop artillery barrages that were so intense you couldn't even hear the individual explosions. Not enough artillery overall, but that's a minor nitpick in the grand scheme of things.
I can't say enough about the visuals in particular. Great movie. Going to be one I re-watch more than a few times

Finished the watcher. Had a decent time watching it, though not the biggest fan of the ending. Promised more than it delivered

Youre underestimating how competitive the field is here.
The great leap forward: 30M+
Japanese empire wars of conquest: 3-10M w/ off the charts brutality
US empire wars of conquest: 12M + indefinite economic subjugation, ongoing
Stalin: 20M
Genghis Khan: 40M

It was a passion project for Henry and he didn't have enough control to guide it the same way, say, Ryan Reynolds can control and steer Deadpool. I can't think of anything more gut-punchy than something you start because you love what it can be, only to have other people just tear it up around you and refuse to let that happen.
I've enjoyed netflix' Witcher almost entirely on the back of Cavill and Freya Allan. The contempt for the source material and the producer's desperation to emulate GoT's final few seasons of "subvert expectations" have been notable and jarringly bad, but the actors themselves have kept the show above water. I think losing Cavill will put a nail in the coffin for this show. Liam Hemsworth has been cast, but I won't be shocked if we never see him play the character.

I mean try to think of a situation where, multiple seasons into a popular TV show with a big budget, the absolute MAIN CHARACTER was replaced with another actor.
Not right at the start, not a main character being replaced by a different character as the focus of the show, and not a secondary or even a major character other than the lead... the actual lead character is the same person but now played by someone else.
I cannot think of a single example in the history of TV where that worked.

Right? Even at the best of times it's not just "not good", it's almost completely untenable. But when it's that particular actor's portrayal of that character that is keeping the show from just falling over and dying? I just don't think season four gets past pre-production.

In fairness...he probably came cheap.
Not like that guy is exactly drowning in work.
SAG Rate at best?

Spartacus : Blood and Sand. Andy Whitfield passed away after the successful first season and was replaced by Liam McIntyre which ran for 2 more seasons.

They should've just gotten Stiffler's mom to do it LOL. Making the rest of the series centered around milf jokes couldn't have been any worse really

Started watching 'Blockbuster', thought it might be funny. Worked at one as a teenager, you know how it is
Nope. Another soap box for the left's cultural and moral agenda. Except they forgot to make it funny LOL. More important to shoe in buzzwords than get laughs
Noticed the same thing with 'The Mist' miniseries on Netflix too. A bit older, but fits the timeline. Show is supposed to be about a mist that takes over a small town forcing the citizens into a mall where all sorts of tragedy and horror unfolds. Instead the creators got caught up in their agenda, smashing their views and agendas everywhere possible, just forcing it blatantly ahead of the story telling. It's crazy
I got off social media to escape the barking clowns. Turns out, there's no where to run. Can't even watch some ####ing TV without being force-fed social issues along with it. Just call this #### what it is at least... propaganda
