Huge goal since this year the CL has gone mostly chalk, so spurs avoid drawing bayern, napoli, likely psg and madrid too
Also kinda screws over liverpool, since they already csnt draw man city, spurs, chelsea, and napoli
So their chances of getting bayern, psg, and likely madrid go way up. Basically porto or bust for them

Spurs sitting back and play for a draw, get the lucky break to give them a win and top of the group.

Kind of a specific circumstance
No son, richarlison, kulesevski, and romero
Spurs only needed a draw, marseille needed a win to advance in CL, I'm sure they weren't thinking Europa league let's sit back

Spurs don't have enough quality anywhere behind the front line to play any other way. When you have a 2 man team, you have to work a strategy that's best for that.
Anything else would be like the Oilers rolling 4 lines and trying to keep the game 5on5. Play to the strengths or your 2 players.

I think two good players is selling a few guys short. Bentancur and Kulusevski have been excellent additions. Romero has been really good as well, and probably walks into most backlines across the league?
Truthfully, the setup is not good. This is a team that’s scared to lose and they play that way. Players like Bissouma (another good player!) are so worried about a mistake that they’re playing tight.

Meh, screw those guys. I was thrilled to see Sanchez/Sideshow Bob and Koliseneac at the end. Particularly after he missed that absolute sitter that would’ve won it for them. But of course…they bottle it. What more could be expected?

I mean the Oilers have Kane, Hyman & Nurse, they still operate as a 2 man team when push comes to shove.
So do Spurs.
I think I'm actually giving them credit by admitting Kane & Son as the superstars they are.

Lol. If playing 'Bus Parkingly' defensively is going to be deemed 'Terrorism Ball' its going to be used a lot during the World Cup.

No, you’re trying to take a shot at Tottenham as Oilers on a Flames site.

What a disgrace Rangers are. Six games played, six losses, two goals scored, twenty conceded.
The worst performance in the history of the Champions League.

I don’t care who is on the pitch. When Kane wins that free kick just outside the box they should at least try to put a ball into the box and score.
I’m not saying you need to bring 11 guys up, but you could at least try to score a goal there.

Without Son on the pitch, Kane may have wanted to take the free kick though, which means there was zero chance of a goal
Best case scenario was a goal kick anyway

Their goals can only be measured chronologically?

both games between them ended 1-1. Benfica win the group based on away goals scored, which is number 7 on the tiebreaker list.

That is super helpful to liverpool their benfica percentage would have been PSG, since they are already shutout from the 3 other english teams who finished 1st and napoli
