As usual, I'll trust Sutter on this, for player style, fitting in with the team and locker room, and wanting to build a strong tight room.

I think you see how the first weeks go and tinker from there if required.

On such a large list there are of course lots of wistful thinking "if only that player found the right situation, he'd be a steal..." but fans of other teams are maybe saying that too about Gillies or Jankowski.

Yes I understand he is not the player he was and yes he's slowing down but for under million a year the expectation should not be to have him scoring 20 a year.

Just my opinion and I would be very surprised if Calgary makes this move, but for me ill be more then excited to see him in red.

I always liked Simmonds game, and would welcome him on the team - IF we didn't already have Lucic. I think the Flames need to get faster, not slower. And I don't think they are desperate for another bruiser. If Lucic were gone, then definitely. On the roster as is, no thanks.

Claiming Mahura for Florida is intriguing. They must not be happy with the options on the team right now and need depth. Mahura has played some games over the last few years, but low impact. Obviously this is insurance if someone starts playing terribly. That d-group does not inspire me at the moment.
