I've always wondered if Blasty was intended (directly or not) as a tribute to this Broncos logo. Seeing the profile version of him got me thinking about it again.
I believe that logo is from a few promotional pucks that were made when the Broncs made their sales pitch to the WHA. And it was "Broncs," not "Broncos."

That's a great look! Particularly like the home (dark) jersey. Stripes along the arms are sharp

Meh, I had higher expectations. Maybe they'll look better on the ice.

Profile blasty is much better than the original blasty.

Sharp.

The neck looks a bit odd, but other than that a pretty clean look.

Good news: the whites are worn at home until Christmas

They decided not to go overboard with a western-themed font. Good.

They're good. I don't like mismatched shoulder patches, however.

I believe the intended effect is for it to resemble a horseshoe

Just the nature of the AHL. The vast majority of teams have their NHL affiliate logo on one shoulder and an insignia of their own on the other. (The Heat matched the Flames by having the American flag and the California flag as patches).
