Reminds me of why Burke fired Feaster, he said he was soft in trade negotiations and didn't get back anything of value.

I think him keeping Cammy at the deadline and not give him away for garbage was sending a message to the league things are going to change. Look like Brad is continuing that style.

Bruins didn't bring Krecji and Bergeron back on 1 year deals to then trade Pasta.

They are taking one last run with this core and if he walks at the end of the year then he walks.

If they end up being terrible and out of the playoff race then maybe he moves at the deadline.

If Friedman did say this, it would be heavily discussed by almost every other hockey news outlet. To my knowledge, on one is talking about it. I don’t miss many 32 thoughts podcasts and I certainly don’t recall Friedman or Marek saying anything related to this.

That’s a good comparison. Only difference is Chychrun makes 4.6m, a very reasonable contract, for another 3 seasons. There’s a reason why he’s a hot commodity right now.

I would steer away from this though with his injury history. Guy always seems to get banged up.
