They are up in HF complaining about the screw job they are the victim of because they don't get the cap credit for DK. Ignoring the fact that at the time of the trade it was clearly not in the cards as part of the deal, it's also ignoring that the penalty is in place to discourage teams from stretching contracts out to lower AAV (not sure if any of this is still in place in the current CBA), not to turn into a tradeable negative cap space asset.
They are still salivating over all the ways they can acquire PKane, ignoring the fact that sending multiple lineup players over for 1 player is probably a bad idea when you are already going to be running 2 players short. Not to mention that since PK "wants" to be an oiler so badly, CHI will only trade to the greasers for a low cost with the third party taking a pittance for their cap retention.

They love Nurse up there, I keep asking.... Makar or Nurse, Fox or Nurse - who would you take... they take Nurse.... I know we don't like our 2016 - 66th draft pick around these parts for good reason... but I'd take both Makar or Fox over Nurse any day, and it's not even close for either one.
Delusional is all I can say.

It is you who does not understand the salary cap.
They clearly do.
But do not feel bad.
They also understand the NHL’s collective bargaining agreement better than the NHL’s legal team.
Additionally, the NHL is secretly plotting against them because of this incomparable and unequivocal knowledge.
Every player in the league wants to play with Connor, in Edmonton, and at a discount.
They would have gotten away with doing it too, if it weren't for those meddling kids in the league office.

They couldn’t even get PK Subban to agree to go there over retiring. They’re not getting PK out of Chicago.

This is a team that shipped out their heart and soul in Ryan Smyth over 100k, then a week later dropped a half-mil on renovating their dressing room.

I don't think they need to worry about getting Patrick Kane. The Oilers are going to be sellers at the deadline, and then in the off season one of the Conna or Pissface will be on the move.
I think that the Campbell contract, a goalie that's played a max of 52 games in only one season, and was completely dreadful in the second half last year behind a far better defense is going to become the worst new contract in the league this season.
These aren't predictions or guesses, they're spoilers.

Soup Boy going to be their new Costingem. And this time, they don't have Old man Smith to bail them out.

Patrick Kane will never waive to play in Canada imo. My money would be him becoming a Ranger at some point this year.

You know when things go off the rail, Smith will make a miraculous comeback and they’ll have to dump Puljujarvi for nothing to have cap space and then Smith will get injured for real due to being out of shape

About to go to bed but just thought I’d pop in as I was looking at that hilarious Nurse contract.
Why didn’t they negotiate with him? So strange.
