Just...disappointing to hear of Cuba's decision, but not surprising given decades of a useless embargo.
They can't leave the country now anyway, right?

Wow, yeah. That is exactly how you carry away an injured and unconscious person. Gotta make sure you really twist and pull on those arms. I guess ambulances don't exist in Moscow?

Unless she was already dead, which is possible.

Simpler solution...I can think of about 7 bullets in brains that would do the world a lot of good.
Cutting off the head of a Chimera, unfortunately.

Nikki on Youtube got attacked live on his stream in St Petersburg for the audacity of speaking English in his video

It may seem bad out there for regular Russians, but don't let the waves of people going to Georgia, protesting on the streets fool you in believing this is any type of major hardship. A day ago many Russians were still sipping counterfeit lattes at "Stars Coffee"

Yes, #### has become real in Russia now that mobilization is occurring, but Ukraine went through a violent uprising in 2014 to get true independence, only for Russians to start a genocide. And again, Russians do have the power to take back control of their country if they so choose. Ukraine did it in 2014, and they are protecting it now against a raving lunatic.

Ukrainians have been displaced from their homes, tortured, raped, maimed, killed in an attempt to eradicate their very existence, and they are fighting for their lives and freedom because they had to.

Russians can do the same. This is the time.

If you want a window on the odds of Russians overthrowing the government. Navalny's supporters are belly aching on twitter that borders are closed to Russians trying to flee mobilization.

Half the regime's enforcers are dead or trapped in Ukraine, the military at home is threadbare, and these folks are still whining about the unfairness of it all. The window is open, but the slaves are all mimes.

300.000 is their target number..They will issue 1M orders and try to conscript 300K of them. That's why avoiding conscription generally works. They give up on you and begin to chase another guy.

Women and children can. In fact, there are numerous reports that men could get away today as well.

There are protests, but nowhere near "revolution" level. Our "fight or flee" slider is firmly in "flee" mode.

From what I have read on reddit and a few telegram channels, the legislation needs to catch up before the border closes for men of fighting age (similar to the law in Ukraine right now). It's not enacted yet, but it's coming.

Russia released a bunch of the Azovstal defenders from Mariupol and a number of foreign legion members including the guys sentenced to death in DNR.

You would obviously know better than myself but civilian unrest has to start somewhere and scenes of innocent protesters being brutalized are eventually going to spark a reaction (IMO), especially as these scenes become more and more common in the days/weeks/months ahead. The Russian population has largely been able to stick their collective heads in the sand to date. Now that things are about to get "real" for many Russians and desperation begins to set in with people/families who want no part of this war I think we will see the resistance grow drastically. In particular, what happens to those who are unsuccessful in fleeing the country? they might not all immediately turn to anti-war activism but surely there will be some and once that movement gains momentum I don't see it being quelled. Time will tell, perhaps I am naive.

This was my point.

Killing the heads of governments/movements doesn't stop the issue. There are still thousands/millions with the same thoughts or emotions.

I felt terrible for the Azovstal defenders. Can't imagine what they've been through. Well, 100 of them is something. 2300+ to go.

Going by the link I posted earlier, it sounds like a lot of Russians are fleeing to Belgrade via Istanbul on Turkish commercial airliners. I would have thought sanctions would have included not allowing any commercial airlines from NATO countries to operate there.

I guess it is better that people have a way to flee rather than seeing them conscripted though.

The Ukrainian revolution started with a seemingly innocent protest, yet this protest numbered in the hundreds of thousands and culminated in a bloody revolution to topple the government.

From all the video I have seen in the past 24 hours, there is nothing in Russia resembling any type of cohesion or notable anti-war rallies. Barely a thousand here and there in the most populous cities (and that is being generous).
