Why is not celebrating it a bad thing?
Some people are acting as though others are going around singing ding dong the queen is dead just because they think she had some faults.

I'm surprised that people don't know this already. Magna Carta is an important historical document/event.

Additionally, the abuses she supported aren't even "historical".
Do we forget she paid $14m for Prince Andrew's rape case legal defense not 6 months ago?

It's not whataboutism. I'm pointing out to you that if human rights are important to you, you should reconsider following people who openly flaunt symbols that represent human suffering on a massive scale.
Colonialism did evil things. Communism did evil things. Two things can be relevant at the same time.

Well, I guess I'm not aware of what her faults are. I don't know much about the Queen to be perfectly honest. What are her faults? The fact that she was a Queen? She was born into it.

Why not?
See, I actually think whataboutisms serve a valuable purpose in recalibrating perspective.

Royals vetted more than 1,000 laws via Queen’s consent
Quote:
More than 1,000 laws have been vetted by the Queen or Prince Charles through a secretive procedure before they were approved by the UK’s elected members of parliament, the Guardian has established.
The huge number of laws subject to royal vetting cover matters ranging from justice, social security, pensions, race relations and food policy through to obscure rules on car parking charges and hovercraft.
They included draft laws that affected the Queen’s personal property such as her private estates in Balmoral and Sandringham, and potentially anything deemed to affect her personally.
The Guardian has compiled a database of at least 1,062 parliamentary bills that have been subjected to Queen’s consent, stretching from the beginning of Elizabeth II’s reign through to the present day.

Some of them have been mentioned in this thread but there is and have been a number of issues surrounding the royal family, I think it’s fair to expect her to accept at least some responsibility for it with her being the head of that family.
Nobody goes through life being perfect and I don’t think she was a bad person, with that being said though I never understood the obsession some people have with the royal family and think it’s fair to criticize them when it’s warranted.

The Windsors get their money from land rents in the UK.

Whether they represent good value for public spending is up to the taxpayers of the UK to decide. But it doesn’t have anything to do with Kenya or Malaysia.

Are you just playing dumb, or do you really not realize there is a difference between a country's regime, and their people and culture?
Perhaps my own family history makes it cut closer to home for me, but I find it shameful that people are smart enough to denounce things like swastikas and white-supremacy marks as symbols of hate, yet treat communist symbols like fashion accessories.
