Sure but a base hit would mean 2 or 3 runs, which is worse than 1 run.

I feel like under Schneider the fundamentals of this team have looked like crap. So many errors lately, that play that just happened in centre field, Kirk's slide. Stuff like that. It's been ugly baseball. I watched the Sox series and even though they swept I thought they looked terrible.

Montoyo wasn't the sole problem but he was part of the the problem. I'm not sold on Schneider yet either but they needed to move on from him.

Managers have so little power now - young rich kids are playing and they have way more sway than they should.

Schneider has definitely put his mark on what he can but much of the responsibility falls on the players IMO.

Some of it has to do with new players. Like Bradley and Espinal not communicating.

But Bichette stealing never happen with Mobtoyo.
