If the Jays come back to win this one that little hat voodoo thing they were doing is going to become a thing. Which Im ok with if it keeps their heads in the game.

Vladdy has been absolutely useless lately - either grounding out to short, or grounding out to 3rd

Top of the order doing the usual ####.
Vladdy’s launch angle was 9.4 last year and is 4.5 so far this year. That isn’t good.

I know they won't, but I would leave Cimber out there - he had good stuff tonight and a very low pitch count last inning

Not a save opportunity here Buck. Let’s get Romano the W though.

Guerrero begs the coaches not to challenge. Schneider was probably still tempted.

I'm pretty surprised in hindsight most of the problems were probably not on Montoya's back. New coach, more or less same results. New approaches need to be taken at the plate. For years now there has been pushes to be patient at the plate. Last year most of the guys were. I don't know this year what happened but it seems a lot of guys are undisciplined. The goofing off was okay for a bit but time for them to be a little more serious when things aren't going good. Starts with burning that stupid jacket these days.

The fact that Schneider hasn't improved anything yet is not proof that Montoyo wasn't a problem.
It took the Flames 4 coaching changes to get it right

I do wonder why teams don't walk the first batter in extras more often. Set up the double play and even if the guy gets to 3rd he can't score on a sac fly

Bichette needed to hit it to the right side to advance the runners. But nope, hit it to 3rd and create a double play
And now the jays are out of pitchers

Montoyo wasn't the sole problem but he was part of the the problem. I'm not sold on Schneider yet either but they needed to move on from him.

Bo should've been bunting. That double play was a given the way he hits the ball on the ground. Or the Jays should've pinch ran for Kirk to try and stay out of the double play.
