They need more padding on the floor for all the practice dives though.

Saw that the Flames are getting roasted for their awful dressing room.

No surprise.

Getting shredded every way possible. Barstool sports compared it to a high school locker room, Whitney saying “no wonder the Oilers dusted them in the playoffs”. It doesn’t look good on the organization that’s for sure

Pretty tough to defend the flames on this one. Their locker room is terrible.

I know they are trying to push through the arena deal, but a renovation would go a long way I’m sure.

If I'm only getting paid millions to play a sport, the place where I take off clothes and put on gear needs to be much better. I wouldn't sign for that exact reason.

Too bad half a billion-dollar project gets canceled over 2% of the total cost.

Ya, you’d think they could at least renovate the locker room. Kind of a joke actually.

Nicer than the locker rooms we get in town. Minor detail.

I dunno, here's an example of a "great" locker room.

Obviously the interior design is better, but in terms of function it seems almost identical. You'd have to be a bit of a prima donna to make a big deal out of it.

It may be worth mentioning that in the plans for the proposed Event Centre, the space allocated for the players' dressing room and training facility is actually larger than the ice surface. You can do quite a lot with 20,000 square feet of space – if you've got it. The Saddledome hasn't.

Lol should've got Weegs to sign on the line before walking him through there with cameras.

The underwhelm was palpable.

Is it?

I'm not sure what makes it significantly worse than these rooms of recent Cup winners...

Spoiler!

Of all the reasons to invest tax dollars in an Event Centre, getting a better locker room for NHL players has to be lowest on my list of giving a crap. I know it matters to what talent we attract to the flames - don't care.

Flames have signed some top end FAs in the last few years so I don't think it's all that important

Top goalie FA and top center FA in the last 3 seasons

Here's a look at some of the other rooms in the Dome. Woof.

Up until recently I was in the camp that thought having a ####ty old arena was a huge detriment to attracting and keeping big name players, but Huberdeau and Kadri don't seem to care.

Also Markstrom, Tanev and Coleman in recent years.
