NFL is back. I don't know what it is, but as someone that likes sports I just cannot stand hearing the over the top analysis style discussion from people that are into that league. It just drains me when it comes up.
Maybe it's because it's so gambling centric, but man I just roll my eyes when someone starts talking about that league, cause I know it's going to be the same "THIS GUY has to come up a huge this week" "THIS OTHER GUY ****ed me last week!!!". Just a bunch of boring garbage with heightened, dramatic explanations to anyone that isn't invested in the league.
Despite its woes, the CFL is far more exciting. Imagine their athletes playing our rules.

This used to be true.
Then the NFL quit being idiots and starting passing the ball and allowing black QBs.
The 1 yard spacing would make running too easy and NFL defences wouldn’t be able to stop it
3 downs makes it less exciting if you favour offense and the punting rules would result in people being murdered.
The CFL used to have a better game but it wasn’t because of rules et it was because the rule set dictated as pass heavy style that led to late game lead changes.
Look at the top teams now and it’s all exciting QB play with lots of lead changes and come backs.

I get the frustration for some with the world of fantasy football and gambling these days for the NFL.
But the CFL has always seemed like a super small niche league. 8-9 teams in total often with attendance issues that always feels like it is on the brink of financial collapse. Didn't the CFL have to ask for a loan from the NFL at one point?
I get cheering for the Canadian game but why would they ever bother to even consider our rules? The comparison of the pool of athletic skill, speed, money and interest between the two leagues are vast expanses apart. The very best of the CFL might barely make their practice squads in small numbers.

This was due to non-optimal play by NFL teams rather than the rule set. The rules did force the CFL to go pass heavy earlier.
I understood. While I agree in a hypothetical "NFL players with CFL rules" world the yard from scrimmage makes running relatively more attractive to NFL quality offenses, I think 3 downs is at least as meaningful of a change and would keep passing up. When you add the wider/longer field you'd get even more passing.
I really hate the Bluetooth speaker hiker people. I also hate people with electronic music at camp sites. You don’t need to add to the sounds of nature
The bear argument is not justified as you say voice is far more effective.
Who are these psycho's that take a full shopping cart through the self checkout? That is completely unacceptable. The stores should make a queue maze for the self checkout such that a shopping cart doesn't fit through the turns to weed these people out

People that only need a few items but they’re all heavy? ie jug of milk, potatoes, flour, etc?

Nope. Strugglers with 30+ small items go through all the time. They are also the ones who need to be saved 50 times by the cashier because they can't comprehend how to work the damn thing in the first place
Grocery stores. Everyone needs food, so exposure to morons is mandatory
Self Checkouts GMG with how quickly the tone becomes reproachful with "unexpected item in bagging area [you stupid ####ing customer get it out of there!]" when its almost always the machine's own error.
