They will go to Atlanta, so that it can again be relocated later on resulting in them having 3 NHL teams leave their city and end up reviving the Quebec Nordiques at that point
The people who hate this (and/or the offseason in general) remind me of the types of people who get jealous of seeing their loved ones/friends succeed while they're just hovering and look for any possible reason (however dumb) to shoot down their positive direction.
Brad Treliving took two, hand-delivered, massive piles of s***, and turned it into three bars of Gold.
I don't give a crap about how the back-end of Kadri's & Huberdeau's deals look after 4 years. Treliving just created a golden 3-4 year window in which this team has a legitimate chance to contend year after year.
Due to Treliving, the Flames now have:
- Elite C group
- Arguably the best defense in the league (hands down best #1-#6)
- Vezina goaltending
- best coach in the NHL (minimum top 3 for those who want to argue)
That already the makings of a top-notch contender, without even mentioning the possibility of Treliving adding a quality RW and/or adding to the overall forward depth.
I will gladly, but respectfully, tell anyone who still has criticism's of Treliving's offseason, to f*** off

This move really sets the Flames up for something amazing in the next couple of years. The Flames will have more cap space next year to add. They also have one of the best groups of prospects they've had in a while. No sure fire top end guys, but multiple guys who look like solid depth guys.
If kadri plays at a top level for the next 4ish years and the Flames get a couple prospects to become 40-60 point guys, they all of a sudden have the deepest team in the league. Kadri is the perfect center to play with these guys in the middle six too.

The Flames also shed a group of players with a history of collapsing in the playoffs.
Kadri's playoff record is top notch. His major downside has been trying too much and losing his cool. He seems more mature now through.
