Necas is signed, and looks like Kadri is going to sign with NYI.
Guessing Stastny or a trade is going to be the Flames' plan B to fill that middle-six centre spot. I hope the Flames get creative and bring in someone we are not expecting.

with 11M in cap space, it looks like they will need to make at least a move or two.
There appears to be quite a few teams that need to make moves.
Pittsburgh, Toronto, Boston, Vancouver, Florida
and
Perhaps Vegas and Edmonton...
thats not even counting the teams that are over and have some built in LTIR to cover it..
seems like a lot of teams that are over (I know, I know. its early yet)
What happens if everyone is over? ha ha

Hope the Flames don't waste cap space on a bottom 6 stop gap. Trade for a top 6 RW, spend the picks and move a prospect, roster player, etc. This is the window. They just spent a ton on Huberdeau. Weegar will sign for a lot shortly as well. They're all in.

If the Isles signed Kadri they might be looking to move Pageau. Could be a fit as a #2/3 C.

If they are (all in), then the target needs to be a centre. Lindholm/Backlund/Monahan is not good enough to get us beyond Round 2. Not focusing exclusively on this season either - the Flames have a problem at centre ice.
Lindholm -> first line guy, cool.
Backlund -> continues to age, and he's only scored 20 goals once in the last 5 years
Monahan -> one year left, poor defensively, and injuries have crushed his ability to contribute offensively
Zary -> years away (if he becomes a centre at the NHL level)
The centre ice position is something the Flames need to address (hence the Kadri interest)
