Same with Tanguay and Jokinen all the way back in 2010, and they had already been in town.
Calgary doesn’t have a specific disadvantage at signing UFA’s, at least not any more so than about 28 other teams.

I tend not to go back that far because contract negotiations have taken a sharp turn in favour of players since that time.

I doubt either are in Calgary yet, or even soon. My guess is we don't hear extension talks until camp at the earliest

Do they need to be physically in Calgary to talk contract? They only need to be in Calgary physically to sign, right?

Huberdeau already said he wants to see the city, meet the team, etc. So I doubt we hear much until that happens.
