Paper Girls hits Prime on Friday. Loved the comic, excited to see the adaptation.

^Severance is the best new show I've seen in a very, very long time, but I do worry that it has a bit of a "Lost" problem of being unable to resolve the mysteriousness effectively for the viewer.
Still a very compelling show.

All very good shows in their own way. I don't think I've seen anything mentioned about Black Bird before on here, but it's something we've been enjoying as it goes along. New episodes every Friday.

I know I'm banging this drum endlessly but man....'For All Mankind' is absolutely amazing this season.

I agree that it’s a great show. I haven’t watch the latest episode but the previous one was a bit of a miss for me.

My wife and I call it ‘Spaceships and Relationships’.
It’s one of the few shows that we’re both into equally.

I admit to a healthy admiration for Joel Kinnaman, but man that show it just killing it. All of it is so, so good.

Hmmm latest season of For All Mankind isn’t quite doing it for me yet. IMO it has lost some of the realism for the earlier seasons which I really liked. It all seemed very plausible.
Still not bad at all and I’m only two episodes in. Also watching the Staircase right now, Colin Firth is excellent.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but Mr. Inbetween is fantastic.
Two season streaming in Disney+ and the 3rd you can purchase on AppleTV.
Australian series about a hitman. The lead, Scott Ryan is amazing in it.

You don’t have to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate Light and Magic. If you want an inspiring story about people who don’t know what’s impossible it’s for you. It’s like watching the moon landing IMO.

I finished watching Light & Magic last night. It's great.
The thing I loved was how casually they talked about things that most people would consider their absolute lifetime achievement. The EditDroid was the first non-linear editing system, which revolutionized the entire process of film and video production. It gets a couple of throw-away lines. The people at Pixar just wanted to make cartoons and Lucas wasn't interested in that, so he sold it to Steve Jobs. John Knoll had a little side project he worked on over the weekend with his brother... that became Photoshop.
Also, Knoll's quote when he's talking about working with directors and he makes a suggestion and the director is surprised they can do some weird compositing thing, "Oh yeah. We did stuff way dumber than that on Star Wars."

Mr Inbetween is outstanding. Hilarious.
Might be my favorite 'dark comedy' of all time.
It could have gone much longer than 3 seasons.
Of literally hundreds of possible Ray quotes, this may be my favorite
"Yeah, love raping. Not women though. Blokes."

You're right. I just binged all 3 seasons.
I love the banter between Ray and Gary.
The ###ankle part I'll never forget.
While I'd love to see another few seasons, the ending scene was incredible. Ray's smirk is a classic.

Harley Quinn season 3 debut last night and was an exceptionally funny episode, especially the first 5 minutes where they really stretched the boundaries of good taste.
The Jim Gordon for mayor with Harvey Dent as his campaign manager was brilliant.

This is the only mention of Black Bird I found in this thread. And it deserves more. If Paul Walter Hauser doesn't win every award possible for his performance in this series it's because;
a) I know nothing of acting
b) Those voting know nothing of acting.

He should really get an award just for talking in that voice for so long.

Impossible to believe it's the same guy who plays Stingray in Cobra Kai.
In this role he scares the #### out of me.

Yeah I definitely agree. I've always really liked him as an actor. Excellent performance in that Richard Jewell movie too. His performance in Black Bird is creepy. Menacing, and feels so real and raw without being over the top like a comic villain or something. Sooooo good.

Such a good show, and I've only just now realized he's the same guy that played Richard Jewell, which I also thought was a great performance.
