So these negotiations are taking longer than I hoped. i was expecting at least one of them to be signed up fairly quickly. We will see, but I am beginning to think that they are at least expecting more than we are willing to pay or that they are not that interested in staying in Calgary. If they are not wanting to sign then they need trading soon.

I don’t think either of them have even been to the city, met their teammates or coaching staff. Although I’d also like them signed long term or traded, let’s give them time to settle in.

Nothing will happen until late August after both guys visit. So your expectations were probably unrealistic.

At the end of the day I’m just hoping Tapatalk stays in CP, they say it does and that it’s mutual… I guess we’ll see. #### Tapatalk though if it bolts, even after all the hilarious banter it’s created here over the years.

Well, I suspect they’ve both been to the city, since they’ve played games here. Plus Huberdeau did say he’s visited before for Stampede.

But point taken. They may even want to play or at least go to camp to see if they feel like they mesh here. It’s a pretty big decision.

True, but yeah it will be viewing the city from a different lens, as in, can each player see himself based here for the next 7-8 years.
