With the NTC until Jan 1 and then 10 teams of his choosing after, he probably doesn't care how things go in ANA, his value will be determined on how he does in the playoffs with the handpicked teams he choosed from as the calender turn to 2023 and will join for those playoffs, most likely as a pure rental.

In the meantime his new agent can start laying ground work for where he goes next July 1.

Only big risk of course is injury.
