Cole Schwindt was one of 47 who attended the Team Canada WJC camp two years ago

That was the year Pelletier and Zary made the team and won gold

we would be heavily debating him and the 1st for Tkachuk right now

if the 115 facking point player wasn't even included

Ryan Leslie on SN says the Flames players he's talked to tonight are really excited

Keith Tkachuk told Leslie he was "a little sad" right now

I'll add this before going to bed.

On the surface it's a big win for the Flames. Obviously Calgary is adding a ton of cap space so that plays a factor. Ultimately all depends on what kind of contracts Huby and Weegar will sign if they sign. Both players probably needed a change in scenery so it will be interesting to see if they will stick.

But on the surface it's a big win for the Flames since they have the cap space to do this.

Can't qoute but apparently I'm sleeping on Weegar. Even better. I totally thought he was a decent top 4 d.

This comment still has me 🤔 and I wonder if we can get a corroboration or elaboration. Don't see any evidence of this myself

If people agreeing with you is important to you, whatever floats your boat.

You're just putting spin on other's posts where that isn't the message. Perhaps it's how you read them in your head, that they come across as not enjoying anything.

Some people enjoy cognac and Chaucer. Some people enjoy cat vids.

Big key that their extensions should they happen won't kick in until AFTER Lucic and Monahan are gone

At the end of the day Tkachuk said 1 more year max.

2023 Huberdeau @$5.9M > 2023 Tkachuk @$9.5M. Florida might look better off from this trade in a couple of years. but the Flames are playing with house money, hopefully they at least found some good Canadian boys who want to talk about contracts with them.

That is legitimately one of the weirdest insults I have ever read. Cognac and Chaucer lol. Love it.
I'll take bourbon and hockey.

For me, he is the key.
Huberdeau is a replacement for Gaudreau, but Weegar is a D upgrade that the team needed to be a contender. Losing Tkachuk leaves a hole, but it is easier to replace a winger, good a player as he is.
I believe the Flames are a better team than last year and are favorites for the division. If they sign Kadri, I feel they are in the mix to win it all.

This is what I cheer for.

Nah. Let's all get very excited.

This is a great trade.

Just want to clarify something on my stance after thinking for a couple hours:

1) in terms of value, I think the Flames did very well with this trade
2) if Huberdeau and/or Weegar don't work out/won't re-sign, they can be traded for high value assets
3) I simply fear that the Flames will lose out on converting these new players into assets because of the organization's insistence on playing 2-3 home playoff games a year

I was away from the internet for a while doing stuff tonight. Opened my phone and saw THIS???

Treliving won't be fooled twice. I would have to imagine if there is no extension for these players at the deadline, they're both gone and we blow up the team.

I'm beyond excited.
