What are the rumored returns that aren't being made by fans. Only one I have seen from an insider is that Parayko and Kyrou aren't on the table

Who said spare parts? Kyrou is a spare part? 75 points and dominant in the playoffs.

Sort of missed the boat on these I think. They needed to go at the draft. To many competitors that would want these guys are already maxed out on salary.

That was also a time with no salary cap. I agree - it can be difficult and you have teams like Arizona and Buffalo.
However, I think a team like the Calgary Flames who can spend to the cap might not have as difficult of a time to at least look somewhat exciting on the ice.

So you think after we make the Tkachuk trade we will be a significantly worse regular season team (presumably a 10% or more drop, getting maybe 98 points) and will get in the playoffs and make the third round? I would be willing to take that bet.

Well he said they would do better in the playoffs next year. I am more interested in that fascinating part, a significantly worse regular season team but a playoff juggernaut. If 91 points makes the playoffs, great. But to be a better playoff team (like he said) you have to make the playoffs and to be better you have to make the third round.
