I'm a Flames fan, but I'm a much bigger fan of accountability than of the Flames or any sports team. Anyone involved needs to be held fully accountable.

I think some people are forgetting that the 8 John Does mentioned are CHL players invited to the Hockey Gala, not necessarily just players that were on the 2018 World Junior Team.

It's unlikely that we'd be seeing the accused players' agents coming forward providing statements if the investigation is already underway. I do not have any legal background but I imagine that the lawyers representing these 8 players have strictly told them to keep a tight lip and not be talking to the media or their agents where they could potentially incriminate themselves.

If the agent had stopped at 'in 2018' I would have thought it was a poorly written ho-hum denial... then he added 'through which all players were then cleared of any wrongdoing.' and I thought "oh ####..." and then he threatened the SLAPP lawsuit and I thought... "Oh ####... he's one of the 8".

Mind you, Kyrou is represented by Wasserman, which had the statement in that article which mirrors Dube’s agent. So he initially got lumped in as well, but later clarified. Maybe, just maybe, Dube will do the same (seems like Kyrou said “hey - that wasn’t strong enough about me”.

I know if I wasn't there and had nothing to do with it, I'd make damned sure everyone on the planet knew that. None of this "I didn't do anything wrong" garbage. It would be "I wasn't there, I didn't know it was happening and I had absolutely nothing to do with it."

This guy posted this in the TSN tweet about Kyrou and now you can scratch Raddysh. Not sure how accurate it is but it’s down to a 67/33 for Dube if it’s accurate which is increasingly concerning. Really hoping he’s not involved but just disappointed in general about this whole story.

That’s good to know. I only read the statement on behalf of Dube and reacted that way.

I really hope Dube wasn’t involved. I’ve always liked Dube. And the Flames would need to terminate the contract if Dube was involved.
