Flames weren't ever going to go into a rebuild after losing johnnys. The rest of the core is still in their prime, and eff that Gaudreu guy.

This. The rebuild crowd needs to really give it a rest, it isn't happening in the near future. I understand many feel they should but we don't need to hear Tre bashing every other post. It isn't even his mandate, it is ownership.

Maybe we can sign Kadri longterm, sign Kylington short term and if he bust out back up the brinks truck for him, sign Tkachuk to his QO and sign Mangiapane to a 3 year deal.

Kadri would be a solid signing as he would help contend for the next 2-3 years and is probably content to help lead a rebuild after that as he has already won a cup.

If they get him it wouldn’t be 7 x 9.5. I’d guess 6-8 annually depending on the term. Would be a lot of fun watching Kadri and tkachuk together!

Lucic and Monahan gone, Tkachuk signed, Kadri signed would make me feel much better about the Flames

And if they are just being used to drive up the value that's fine too

I am skeptical that anyone would offer Kadri $9.5M. I like the player, and we could use guys who actually ramp it up in the playoffs, but that’s nutso.

32 by the time the season starts. $7M per on something like a 5 year deal would make sense but not 7x7. Last thing we need is a Jeff Skinner contract on the books.
