As long as it’s a high $, low term contract Im fine with it. If you can ask him to accept a high 8’s/low 9m AAV but only 3/4 years on the deal I think it would be worth it. This seems like a guy that would rather have a longer term and less $’s. Kind of hoping we stay away from him.
EDIT: he wants a Gaudreau contract? Hell no.

I like Kadri, but the contract scares me. Just the cap of course, I personally don't care how much money he makes.
A Tkachuk-Kadri combination would be super fun to watch. We'd be the most hated team in the NHL...lol.

Kadri yes, around 7m yes.
Flames weren't ever going to go into a rebuild after losing johnnys. The rest of the core is still in their prime, and eff that Gaudreu guy.

At this point, no one over 25 should be brought in unless the contract is 3 years or less.
