Unlucky that Biggio's double bounced out, would have easily scored another run

Just silliness that Moreno had to go back to 3rd on the Biggio double. I get the rule but its dumb.
Comerica park keeping the score reasonable in this one.

18 batters 18 outs, great start for Stripling.

Greedy me wanted a little more out of Stripling. Had boosted odds on playnow that had a Vladdy HR + Stripling 5 K's.

What a wonderful performance from Stripling, you know he is capable of being great, so its nice to see it come out when he is starting a series clinching game. Starting pitching doesn't seem like a mess to me.

Stripling is so under rated IMO
He was pitching like this last season too as a starter until he got hurt.

Yeah this looks a lot like early season Stripling, hope he can keep it up.
I know Romano hasn't pitched in a while but I'd still rather just... not. I know it's just the Orioles coming up but unless the game is within reasonable reach, seems like someone else should pitch.

Wait, what? I've missed most Jays games in recent weeks due to busy schedule. Isn't Romano lights out?

It was 6-0 heading to the bottom of nine, not a save situation. Usually I'm not a fan of bringing the closer in a non save situation, but he needed the work.

Ah gotcha, Corsi was suggesting not using him when you don't have to. I misinterpreted the intent of his post. I was worried that Romano had fallen off a cliff while I wasn't able to watch, lol.

Ya I think Romano had not pitched once since May 31st, so he needed the work, unfortunately not a save situation but also speaks to how the Jays have been playing lately.

Romano hasn't seen high leverage in quite a while IIRC
I think his last two outings were 9th inning clean up in a blow out just to get some work because he hadn't pitched in many days.
Hilarious how the Jays go from playing all close games to all of a sudden no close games.

Yeah, Romano's last save was May 31st, so two weeks ago.
Since then he's only appeared in two games and both of those were blow out wins just to get some work.

Between Moreno and Kirk - that is some serious speed difference between the two catchers.

If the Jays decide to trade one of their catchers they should be able to get something real good in return, no matter which one they deal.
My bet would be Jansen, but there is no rush really.
