Her trajectory is probably going to be the predictable redemption arc with flashbacks to her escaping as a youngling and how difficult life was for her or how her youth or family was stolen from her etc. and she will get redeemed and sacrifice herself and return to the light. Maybe they thought she needed to be really over the top to start off with for that contrast.
Nope she's there to eat Vader lightsaber for her failures.
Nothing more nothing left. She's arrogant, she thinks she has control of things? But a Dark Lord of the Sith is far different from a Grand Inquisitor.
Vader won't stand by her bullshpit for too long.

What I don't get is if Reva is the youngling in the first scene, why isn't she burning with hatred for Vader/Anakin knowing he was there to slaughter all the other younglings at the Jedi Temple? Falling to the dark side automatically turns you into a Sith minion?
Yea she doesn't have any menace to her at all, the Grand Inquisitor is a far more interesting villain.

MAybe, we don't know, I mean for all we know her plan is to get Kenobi so she gets a audience with Vader, and then betrays him.
Turning to the Dark Side doesn't make you Sith. In order to become a Sith you have to be accepted into the Order and receive their teachings from a Master.
Turning to the Dark side doesn't even make you completely evil. But it does compel you to look inside and only care about yourself and your survival and your craving for more power.
To put it simply, the Jedi who use the light side of the force believe that the force dictates your fate and you become its servant. The people that fall to the dark, are seduced by power, or revenge, they see the Force is something that they should use, and manipulate. That's why their power is un natural.
According to the Jedi.

My guess is she is and it will be revealed that she didn't become an Inquisitor to hunt down and kill Jedi, but to get close to Vader and attempt to kill him.
The only question is whether she's obsessed with finding Obi-Wan because she blames him for failing to train Anakin well enough and wants him to die, or does she want to reactivate him because she thinks he's the only one who could defeat Vader? Or, possibly, by bringing Vader his old master, she'll use Obi-Wan to gain Vader's favour.

I assumed it was because Obi-Wan had closed himself off to the force when on Tatooine (similar to Luke in TLJ) - but after he used the force to save Leia’s fall from the roof, he was exposed when in the ships hanger.
Yes. From that scene I got the impression that he was struggling to re-connect with the Force or at least struggling to quickly reconnect.
Not only did Luke do it in the sequels, but the idea has been talked about in the Legends EU several times.
If you want to think that much about it, why does he not recognize Artoo and 3PO in ANH? Is he really just feigning "oh I don't remember owning any droids before"?
What he said was true. He never owned any droids... from a certain point of view.
Star Wars fans are the absolute worst. I can’t think of a single fanbase that is as hateful as they are towards actors who played characters they don’t like. Nobody hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans

With that being said, I’m curious to see where the series goes. The ending of the second episode in particular makes me hopeful for the rest of the series. It’s great seeing Ewan as Obi Wan again

comic book fans can get pretty awful about race and sex when it comes to characters.

haaave you met Star Trek fans? you should see what they're saying about a minor character (Robert April) that was white in a cartoon from 50 years ago, and is now currently black. he literally has like 4 lines but Star Trek Klan showed up with pitchforks to defend "canon and continuity".
the problem is that a lot of these actors have been saddled with crappy scripts and direction the past few years (TLJ, RoTS, Discovery, Picard) so many of the characters turned out crap, white or not. but then the racists see that as their chance to jump in and attack the actors themselves, so between that and actual legitimate criticism you get a giant toxic mess.
good of Ewan to address it directly, but sadly nothing will make these online dickweeds go away in Star Wars or any other franchise.
Yeah I secretly hope that character just dies and the Grand Inquisitor becomes the big baddie (along with Vader). Lame character, bad acting.
But to attack her racially for it? Disgusting. She didn't write the damn show, and even if she did, that crosses the line. Some people love to hate.
Yeah the racist stuff is dispicable and what happens when you give people anonymity on a social media platform. Remember the same thing and worse happen with the actress that played Rose in the prequel. She got outright online bullied, and it was sad. Yeah, her acting wasn't great, and her character wasn't great, but that doesn't give anyone a right to be a hate machine.
Oh and by the way
Spoiler!
Clearly Vader/Anakin is still a little angry at Obi, and wants him to suffer. This isn't the conflicted Vader from the OT. This isn't the cool and calm Vader from Rebels. This is full on, Rage and hate machine Vader, with obsessions.

We all went holy crap about Vader in Rogue One, as well as Rebel's. But we need to realize that this is pure Vader with no sign of Anakin to cause doubt. What he's doing here isn't even the Emperor's will. This is Vader being in pain, and rage and wanting revenge in the most stark and horrifying way possible.
