I think there were lots of candidates on different nights for worst Dman. Kylington certainly had his moments, Z got bounced and walked by McDavid, Andersson made some bad decisions.

Hyman was a better more dangerous player than any of Calgary's forwards imo...
that's pretty ####ing depressing.

I don't think Johnny will ever lift the cup. He's not strong enough and that thing weighs 50 lbs.

That's the worst series loss upside I've ever read.

This was a weird series. Stuff happened early that shook his confidence and he started playing differently. Tighter. You could see it in his reactions to saves. Everything was high stakes and he just couldn't get past it.
But this is not the norm for him. He's usually the coolest and calmest player out there. Something about facing McDavid and Draisaitl shakes him. It's a one team phenomenon. I'm fine with how he plays against the other 30 teams.

What stuff happened?

Flames Los this series more than Edmonton won it IMO. Maybe some rose colored glasses on my eyes but I'll be damned if that was even 20 percent of the quality team we watched for a regular season and the Dallas series.
What a choke job. I refuse to give the Oilers any credit in this.

Man, this one stings. Why oh why did we have to lose to Edmonton of all teams?
The Flames finally win a round, seem to be flying, and then crash land against their provincial rivals. I can take a 2nd-round loss, even though I'd have loved to have more Flames playoff hockey to look forward to. But to hear from now until kingdom come how the Oilers won the BOA just sucks.
Screw Edmonton. Go Avs/Blues.

Why would you even think that if you follow the Flames? That's simple stuff if you follow the team in any capacity, even casually, lol.

As low as tonight is, take solace in the fact that this is the absolute peak for this Oiler group. They’re going down hard and fast against Colorado.
After they get swept Koskinen is gone to UFA. Smith turns 41 next year. Kane will get a big deal either there, screwing their cap or somewhere else and they can’t replace him. Nurse’s 9.25M kicks in. Yamamoto, Puljujarvi, and McLeod need contracts. Archibald, Kulak and Russell are UFA. They’re still paying Lucic, Neal and Sekera. Woodcroft will get permanent HC and they’ll never repeat playoff round wins.
The toilet seat is up for the last night.

But the Flames own this loss. Better goalie, coach, etc, and the team just played their worst hockey in the playoffs.
|
Suck less goalie in this round for sure. Better coach? How difficult it is to be able to triple shift McDavid? And have the ref in his hip pocket?

This is how I know you aren't a serious hockey fan.
Toffoli has 2 more years on his contract.
It's a 2 second google search. Do better.

Colorado is going to steamroll Edmonton. Smitty has no chance with the firepower they have.

Not relevant tonight
The go ahead and what should have been game winning goal, forcing game 6, was waved off
Like Looch said, you can’t look forward to 3 games. You have to win 1 Tom before you can win 3
Brutal. They got jobbed
