I blame the ‘we Want 10’ chants in game 1.

Or the refs don't mysteriously get out of position for a Flames tying goal in Game 2, and tonight, don't get told from the league to wave off a perfectly good goal, we are easily up 3-2 without playing any better or worse in any game this series.
And absolute disgusting case of league interference.

Markstrom wasn't good enough, but I think it was more of a by-product of our awful defending.

Flames completely caved and gave up their identity, their structure, the thing that made them successful in the season.

He was easily the worst dman the entire playoffs and certainly this round. I have been hammering his play the whole time.

Just believe that Markstrom would have let in the tying goal with the empty net for the Oilers. It'll go a lot easier.

It’s getting worse before it gets better either way folks.

Every series is different so I would not take away anything from what happens in the next series.
For one thing we don't even know who the Oilers are playing yet.
Flames finished the playoffs exactly where they deserved to finish it. Losing to a better team by inches. Nothing that happens moving forward has any bearing on evaluating the Flames. It's over, no need to torture yourself

Up 2-0 in 3/5 games.
Lost the series in 5 games.
Call it what it is, our best players weren't nearly good enough. Refs, luck, whatever. We just weren't good enough and it sucks but just another day tomorrow now.

What in the world? Hanifin looked bad so many times during this series. He gets walked around so easily.

Flames had to have allowed to most high danger scoring chances in the second round right? I don’t know how to find that.

I have no reservations at all with him in net.
This was a weird series. Stuff happened early that shook his confidence and he started playing differently. Tighter. You could see it in his reactions to saves. Everything was high stakes and he just couldn't get past it.
But this is not the norm for him. He's usually the coolest and calmest player out there. Something about facing McDavid and Draisaitl shakes him. It's a one team phenomenon. I'm fine with how he plays against the other 30 teams.

Painful to say but the better team won. I’ve never seen a player like McDavid in my life. Simply fantastic and sucks he wears that jersey because it’s hard to truly appreciate him.

No. He is signed for 2 more years. You know, someone to make such a comment would do some research first?

NHL wants a MacKinnon vs MdDavid 3rd round for sure.
It's the new Sid vs Ovi.
But the Flames own this loss. Better goalie, coach, etc, and the team just played their worst hockey in the playoffs.
