The series could be 3-2 right now. Calling it meaningless is laughable.

I'd rather the flames not have made the playoffs, or get knocked out in round 1.

Getting embarrassed by Edmonton, is beyond acceptable.

That last play by Hanafin and gaudreau just shows these guys are regular season players. Not top d pairing guys not top line guys of a playoff time willing or able to make the tough plays needed to win.

It's over. This core is not good enough, and they need to get paid.

Flames are in the business of attempting to make the playoffs, they haven't been a franchise that can build a contender for 30 years....

What a waste of a season.

This...was an intentional and deliberate fix and screw job.

The Flames didn't lose the series on this called off goal, but this for sure prevented them from winning this game.

Don’t be sure. Game management will make for a 6 game series.

Off-season changes:
Deal Tkachuk
Buyout Lucic
Deal at loss, Monahan
Deal Kylington
Deal Anderson
Deal Stone

Sign #1 d-man
Acquire blue chip prospects, high draft picks
Sign Gaudreau if under $9M/season for 4 years
More speed, smarter defenceman who can play two way hockey

Yeah, but man, they scored a legit goal in a huge moment and the NHL stole it away. They literally stole it.

Markstrom stats in this series have to be one of the worst in a decade or more. Feel bad for him. He was embarrassing pretty much every night.

Silver lining....don't have to overpay to sign Tkachuk and Johnny.

Awful when it counted.

It's really hard to see this, and want to watch more next year. It feels like there's no point. If I want to watch fixed 'sports', I'll watch wrestling.

Add in some suspect goaltending from Markstrom, and some elite performances from their top 4 forwards and that's a series.

This honestly shocked the hell out of me. I just didn't see this series unfolding like this. I thought it would be more of a battle, but the Flames just continued to fold when things got tough. That bothers me more than anything.

Some soul searching to do for many of the players on this team in the off season.

Heart goes out to u man. You had so much promise coming in to this round. Terrible just Terrible

Trying to just be calm about the whole thing.

The Flames were bad this series. Either poor goaltending or brutal defensive play or a top line that was MIA at times, the team looked like a shadow of themselves from the regular season. It was really weird and shocking. Just some really terrible hocky. The Oilers beat the Flames, but certainly not the best the Flames had to offer...........far from it. Disappointing.

And maybe the Oilers win Game 6 and clinch anyways. But how in the hell is that enough of a distinct kicking motion to overturn the call on the ice? I just.................don't get it. Still haven't seen it. Never will.

Maybe the Flames lose next game but this is the Oilers. No guarantee the Oilers win this series if it goes 6. The Flames obviously deserved that chance. Even if it's not 'rigged' it feels that way as a fan right now. Just a ridiculous and horrible way to end the series, a made up call by Toronto.

I've been fighting with it for a while. I don't like the mental toll it takes on me. The league is all over the place and there's no consistency except being consistently bad.

It's BS and everyone knows it. I have zero respect anymore for NHL officials.
We’ve even seen examples where that goal is called for review and allowed because it’s not a distinct kicking motion.

In a way somewhat similar to their playoff loss vs the Avs where they had home ice advantage. Won the first game and got outplayed for four straight games. They need to get over the 2nd game hurdle. It's hard to win series when you drop every single game 2.
