Calgary would have pretty similar results with Tanev in the lineup. Sometimes have to give the opposition credit too. Oilers top players are showing up when it counts and dominating. Calgary has zero answer for 97.

It's not all on markstrom no doubt. But we are partially in this situation because of markstrom. It's silly to avoid it.

When your goalie is the 2nd best goalie on the ice, you’re not going to win very many games.

So yeah, the Flames suck tonight - but so far in this series Markstrom has been outright bad. He needs to sort it out.

Daryl's a stubborn man. Starting to remind me of Gulutzan. Yes, he's had them play a style all year with great success. Yes he's won two cups. But sometimes you need to make an adjustment. What would the downside be to a goalie change or timeout in the midst of that meltdown? Both moves seemed to have helped the Oilers in game one. Line matching seems to be working for the Oilers too.

I mean really, at the beginning of the year how many of you would look at the following names and be like "yeah that's a solid set of defense to run in the playoffs": Gudbranson, Kylington, Stone, Zadorov, Hanifin, and Andersson. Not taking away anything away from their progression over the year, but I think it's getting exposed against some of the elite level players in the league.
