They wanted a close series. It definitely wasn't going to be if they kept their whistles pocketed.

Had to jump in to disrupt the Flames in any way they could.

If the ref intended to blow the whistle before the puck went in the play is dead. Just like the one they waved off for the Oilers.

Congratulations to that ref Chris Lee(?), just based on this game, he will not be reffing in the 3rd round and I wouldn't be surprised if his career goes down the pooper.

Flames have not been great at all but the poor officiating on calls against both sides is absolutely astonishing.

The refs have been so involved in this game. It has been brutal. They have had the largest influence on the flow of the game, even more than McDavid. Missed calls and bad calls everywhere, affecting both teams and just completely changing the flow of the game.
