Tkachuk was purposely moving the celebration to in front of the Oilers bench on all his goals. You can see him dragging the pile that way.

I swear I heard by someone on this board that Sutter will fixate on a specific player and talk about how good they are, in order to annoy our players into playing the specific player harder

Me too, that's what I thought it was. Why do we have to always be so uptight, it's just for fun and that's what it was...fun.

Someone should write a Flames Fan etiquette book so we all know what to do in any situation so we don't offend others delicate sensibilities.

One last thing...so many great posts so few thanks. Thanks everyone.

I think a lot of the time those chants just motivate the opposition. Both times you could hear the "we want 10" chants on TV, the Oilers scored right away.

I can see if it is a huge blow out and there is no chance of the other team coming back, but chanting at 3-0 with 2.5 periods left is just tempting fate.

Isn't "WE WANT SMITH" as much a mockery of the No Goods as "WE WANT 10"? Shouldn't that motivate them just as much? I mean the people chanting "WE WANT SMITH" didn't want him back because they were sentimental...they wanted to score 10 on him.

Six of one, half dozen of the other if you ask me.

Those chants should be equally motivating to the Flames. I love a good "GO FLAMES GO" as much as the next guy. But I also enjoy the chants that get under the other team's skin...makes me feel like I am in the game.

Haha, remember amazing_oilers comments about the Flames only being able to muster 15 goals in the first round and how they'd be outclassed by the Oilers high octane offense?

This is why they clamber to get their digs in before the puck drops on the first game. Once the games are played, the dream is shattered.

I was chanting we want Smith. I will only chant we want 10 once the 9 goes up on the board. After that it’s immediately to the we want 10 chant.

I also suggested to “ Grant” the MC that they need to team up with Smittys restaurant and give out pancake coupons every time Smith gives up a goal. He laughed and said it was a good idea.

I hope with all my being that the Flames start doing this.

It's not too often you see someone completely emasculated like that on national television.

Tkachuk with that message for the kid with cancer makes me like him immensely as a person.

I still hate him, and his dad refusing to throw the hat means he also prefers Brady.

Just a fact

It should have been a convincing 5-2 or 6-2 beat down but the Oilers did a rope-a-dope (unintentionally) to get the Flames playing too loose.

Default Ring-A-Ding-Dong Dandy: Flames win 9-6!

To avoid another possible “we want 10” chant in game two, perhaps CP needs to create a short list of possible chant options.

I’d like to suggest;
“Kane needs money”
“Kane has no money”

Perhaps others will chime in with ideas.

I also would like to hear the “oilers suck” version of baby shark played in house. Even if it’s just the beat and let the crowd sing the words.

I find it funny.

I think cheering about people's addiction issues, in whatever form, is tacky.

I also hate Kane so... Dammit
