Give all the money to Gaudreau let Tkachuk walk.

Maybe he is but he looks a bit overweight. I know how overweight feels LOL. I’m all for Tiffoli and i wanted him as a Flames 2years ago. But man, he looked atrocious out there on the top 2 lines. I know Sutter wants to get him going but he’s not doing anything!

Kind of poetic that former Flame, Big Save Dave is the reason Nashville ended up in the last playoff spot - robbing us of the opportunity to face Big Save Dave in the first round.

As someone who is both drunk and extremely irrational and angry, thank you for this post. It’s sobering. A good reminder that bad teams don’t make the playoffs and no rounds are easy.

Not happy that the fan base has totally turned on Tkachuk but he’s been a disappointment.

My biggest worry is that this is starting to feel a lot like 06 to me.

Team starting to look / feel beat up and tired. Teams traded wins through the first 6 games of that series. And facing a hot goalie that came a bit out of nowhere (Bryzgalov put up a .968 in the 4 games he played in that series)

Can't win em all, it's not the Flames way.

Pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off and leave it all on the ice.

Flames Stars game seven Sunday, LETS ####ING GO

With that, Otteninger is the star of the show because the odd times that the Flames can get through the D and get a good chance, he stands tall and makes multiple big saves per game.

You can clearly see the Flames play frustrated when they can't get that goal they're looking for. They play extremely disjointed, and have pucks bobbling off their sticks, lack transition, or try to do too much when the simple play is there, because they feel they need to do more in order to get a goal. And that plays right into Stars gameplan, because they can generate turnovers, and get their opportunities on the counter attack.

If Flames don't get the first goal in Game 7, it's game over. Flames need to be playing with confidence, and feel like they are dictating the game. If Stars can get the first goal, and zap the energy out of the dome. The Flames are gonna have too much sense of doubt, and give Oettinger a easy night, and a ticket to the next round.

This was the worst matchup for the Flames. Defense and goaltending wins championships, and Stars are all that this series. The good news though, is if they can win, then the next round should be a much easier challenge. And if they advance for that also, they could be mentally weathered for facing the Avalanche - assuming the make it to the conference final.

Winning much more faceoffs would help a lot for game 7.
The effort in game 4 and game 6 were not close to the same

Yes, Oettinger has been good but tonight after the 1st, the Flames were outplayed and they didn’t test him enough

Exactly!! This is also the reason we acquired playoff experience, let’s see if it pays off.

That was deeply disheartening, but they can make tonight meaningless on Sunday.

We're taking Game 7 but faceoffs will have to be better. Jarnkrok 0-12....yikes. Backlund 5-12...Lindholm 12-15. That might've been the worst I've seen this entire season.

This was by far the worst defensive effort by the Flames in the series so far. Between the turnovers and grade A sccoring chances given the Stars, i'm surprised the Flames weren't blown out of the building. I worry about which team will show up for game 7, a confident one or a team still reeling from a game 6 loss.

Oettenger had shaky moments in the 3rd and some loose rebounds.

I don’t want Chucky to be hurt but it would at least explain his lacklustre play. On the other hand, if he’s hurt it means he’s probably gonna keep sucking in round 2 so I’d prefer if he was just slumping hard. But if he’s slumping them I’m kinda pissed that he’s looked like he’s mailing it in this series.

All I can say is hopefully he learned a lesson

He started the playoffs all gung ho but in a stupid way. He is a skilled player not a goon or a scrub.

Wondering if Tkachuk broke his hand in game 2, because he stinks.
