I was asking that a few days ago.

And to give them credit three or four posters responded agreeing that it's a mental hedge.

If you're wrong your team wins, if you're right you have the office cooler story about how you could see it coming.

Disagree.

Declaring the series over, halfway through game three in a 1-1 series because the opposition scored a goal? That’s top shelf shame worthy material.

About time, can't have a wall of shame without me. At this point if I can't irrationally hate on Markstrom what do I even have left.

A fair comment would really be that Markstrom is playing amazing, but somehow Ottenger is playing even better. Very frustrating.

If all this does is create a more moderate and sensible viewpoint in the online discourse for this board, then I'm all for it. I've had enough of listening to the extreme views for a lifetime. Give me a meaningful discussion based on some careful thought put into a post rather than someone's ridiculous emotional rant.

I can't be the only one who wants this...right?

Should have zero consequence.... they are people, brothers, and families cheering for a team. Who cares? It should not matter.

Brady and his team are out. Have been for months. If we are to the point that anyone has a problem that Brady is cheering for his brother at this point, then we are in a sad position, indeed!!!!

Markstrom has been absolutely incredible and has done all that could be asked of him. He’s stopped everything that he possibly could have and many that he shouldn’t have. He’s been perfect.

And he’s still by far the 2nd best goalie in the series.

			C'mon people.

With the Flames history and the total lack of scoring through the first 3 games, we were all worried the Flames might not be able to score in game 4 or might go too far the other way and open up defensively and get blown out.

Expressing those worries doesn't make you any more/less a fan.

There's also a big difference between those kind of expressions and people seeking to see the Flames fail. I definitely see a small contingency on this board (mostly people who were calling for a rebuild in the summer and didn't get their way), who want the team to be stripped for parts and management fired.

I like the wall of shame. Some people deserve immense shame for the idiocy they spew. I have no shame at all about that post; if the stars are going to use nobodies like Namestikov to headshot our best player, then I hope Oettinger gets fed a few elbows. Namestikov is too useless to deserve a headshot.

Obviously Flames fans don't have a problem with Brady cheering Matthew.

The question was do you think Sens fans might get bent out of shape with their Captain wearing another team logo.

During the game last night I thought to myself that the 5on3 we had was the turning point of the series. If we didn't score on that penalty I think the game would've looked very different.

Glad to see the Flames turn it around and break Otter. Looks like those low five-hole shots might be the ticket to getting past such a big goalie like him.

Or I can respond to them and say what I think of the post. Now who's policing the forum?

Also, what we're talking about is often off topic in a GT, which should be for discussing what's happening within the game.

I have a fairly lengthy posting history of not attacking anyone, but simply letting the air out of their doomsday tires with facts that show they're being irrational.

Thanks

Bravo for owning up the day after. And being a good sport about it. This is what makes it fun.

Markstrom outplayed JO last night though.

As much as last night was 5on5 domination. It took a 5on3 and a penalty shot to finally break the dam. 2 rarities in the playoffs. Tomorrow is going to be huge. Does Dallas reset and come out flying, or does Calgary have its swagger back and they take over the series.

My heart rate can't take it, but goddamn do I love playoff hockey

Markstrom outplayed JO last night though.

Prior to that game yes, you had a point.

When the question about Nashville versus Dallas came up and people said JO was a question mark just like Rittich I didn't really buy it, because we know what Rittich brings but a newcomer like JO sometimes plays way above his head in the POs for a series. Or is just a great goalie waiting to take the stage like Dryden or Roy.

Next game, Flames just need to do their own thing. Hit anything and everything that move, do not take dumb penalty, initiate the hits and do not retaliate to anything. When the Stars did anything dirty, walk away. Play a fast, clean, hard hitting game.
